Sushi in Arizona? The restaurant better be air-conditioned, right? But there's much more to Japanese cuisine than sushi anyway. There's delicately prepared vegetables in light doughy crusts, artful salads, and seafoods cooked just right. And it's amazing what an excellent Japanese chef can do with meat and poultry. Ichi Ban Restaurant offers a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere in which to enjoy authentic Japanese cuisine.
This is a 'cheap' rip off of Benihana's. Only it's not cheap. The staff is extremely unpleasant and they sit you down for 15-20 minutes before even taking a beverage order. If you're not caring about service, food quality, or price- then this is your place. When we told the hostess about how horrible our service was, she only shrugged her shoulders and said, 'oh'. Yeah...well, not just oh...but OH NO!!!
