In Bloom has been great in designing and maintaining our landscape for our new home. They have very creative ideas and we have received lots of compliments from neighbors. They are very responsive and customer service oriented.

In Bloom has been providing my maintenance for 2 years - since I purchased my home. It did not do the initial work (for the prior owner) but it came in and accepted a very labor intensive maintenance contract. I have found the quality and service to be consistently strong. In Bloom will not be the cheapest service you can find but you get what you pay for and it is the overall value that satisfies me.

We find it surprising and difficult to believe the negative comments posted based on our positive results. We recently completed a landscape plan for our home with In Bloom that included tree removal, re-contouring of our property, addressing extensive drainage & privacy issues and creating a garden environment for our pool area and front yard. From our first consultation with Selby (the owner), through planning and implementation, we have been so impressed. His attention to detail, communication skills, imagination, hard-working staff, and dedication to satisfying us are extraordinary. Our experience has been exemplary and we have recommended In Bloom to our friends and family. We are very satisfied customers.

There are several complaints filed against them with the Better Business Bureau and negative reviews on other sites. They overcharge, are dishonest and don't honor their plant warantee. They bascially put all of the plants into our GA clay without ammedning the soil at all (or digging a big enough hole for the plants to grow), and when plants began to die, the owner refused to return phone calls and even sent us rude text messages. I suppose we should file a BBB complaint, but we'd rather not deal with these people anymore. FOLLOW UP: The owner is flat out lying in his response below. He never replaced any shrubs, we tried to call but he wouldn't return our phone calls, and when we finally got him on the phone, he hung up on us. Eight plants died on us, not two. There are many other good landscapers out there. Don't waste your time with this one. After reading all the negative feedback about them online, it makes me wonder who really wrote the positive comments right after my comments were published!

I think it would be most beneficial to readers of this complaint to understand the scope of this project and the terms of our warranty. In Bloom installed 186 plants in August of 2010 for this Avondale Estates resident. The client notified In Bloom that they had 3 plants that did not survive. Foremost, we consider a 1.6% loss a success in our industry. Secondly, our plant warranty is as follows: all plant material is guarantee for 1 year if you have an irrigation system in place. A copy of our policies was provided simultaneously when the original quote was delivered. We also provided the recommendation and quote to install an irrigation system which this client denied. Therefore, their installation was excluded from this referenced warranty. As an act of good faith, we provided the 3 shrubs and delivered them to the client's property. Lastly, if there is any problem with In Bloom's services, a phone call is the preferred method to resolve a concern before a complaint is escalated to an unwarranted review.
Pros: Very creative landscape design ideas Cons: Expensive, poor follow through, failed to honor stated commitment to walk through installation and subsequent care, failed to honor stated warranty. RECOMMENDATION: Pay for their creative landscape plan and find a much more reasonably priced landscaper/architect to buy, install and maintain your garden. Otherwise, withhold all unpaid balance on landscaping until you're satisfied, then withold the remaining 10% until the 1 year warranty is up.

I made an appointment for 8AM to meet with their maintenance manager for a consult on my property. He didn't show up, and no one called. How's that for a first impression?

Selby and Sage are very knowledge and innovative gardeners. I was impressed with the work that they did for my yard and the way that the office staff handled all of our needs. I am continuing service with them though there maintenance department when the installation is complete.
