We will look at food, diet, and supplementation as ways of providing your body and mind.. with the resources it needs for well-being.
You will learn the Mindfulness-based Cognitive Behavioral technique. This is essentially a meditational style that is specific for mental health professionals. I will show you how to use this skill to create a balanced, centered, and clear space. This coping skill generates a self-supported sense of safety and groundedness so that you stop reacting to situations and start coming from your Authentic Self. Once learned, Mindfulness will always be your pocket therapist, always available to provide a much needed sense of calm.
You may choose to work with EMDR techniques to let go of old trauma or habitual ways of thinking that are no longer helpful. I use EMDR first to reinforce the Mindfulness. If you have a tendency towards avoidance, this technique is a precision tool to help you find your stability. Then, the negative beliefs you have about a situation are targeted using the EMDR technique.
