It's a fun atmosphere for the kids, they frequently request birthday dinners here because they get to wear fun hats and get a lot of attention from the staff! Food is average, not to die for, but good for the price.

I have lived in the Valley for 15 years and tried many mexican restaurants. Jalapenos is the best in town. An extensive menu that is executed well and fast, friendly service. The homemade flour tortilla chips mixed in with the traditional corn chips is a nice change. The green corn tamales are easily the best in town...we always order these gems. They are fluffy and slightly sweet with a tremendous green sauce on top. My wife enjoys the swordfish tacos. Best of all the prices are very reasonable for a North Scottsdale restaurant. The only negative, as some others have mentioned, is the overall lack of parking.

The Tortilla Chips & Salsa, alone, are a reason to go here an eat. The food is awesome and the service is GREAT! The menu has a good variety for everyone from the basics to gourmet.

Jalapenos has something for just about everyone. The restaurant has a very pleasant decor and the outdoor patios are mostly shaded. They have some specialty margaritas that keep bringing us back. Both the Tangerita and Prickly Pear make it worth the trip. Good fajitas and many other menu selections. Great food and drink deals at Happy Hour in the already Non-Smoking lounge. Good music on the weekend.

This is one of my favorite mexican food places in town. Food is always fresh, great service, nice atmosphere and never any problems getting in on a Friday or Saturday night. Also, they have great margaritas and a large menu w/ many items to pick from.

Jalapeno's is a great spot to satisfy your Mexican cravings. The chips and salsa are great and the margaritas as delicious. We prefer this to the standard Mexican chains although the menu is pretty typical. There aren't a lot of surprises -- just good food and friendly staff.

Tried this place out last Friday night. Great live music on cantina patio. Green corn tamale was the best I've ever had and the tropical margaritas are awesome. I will definately be back.

Jalapenos offers some great specials, and overall, it's Mexican food is better than average, especially during the Hatch chili season. But my favorite is to just hit the Cantina (Jalapeno's Inferno), order the South of the Boarder Sampler Platter from the appetizer menu a couple house margaritas for my wife and some nice cold Coronas for me. It's satisfying, and inexpensive. The help is above par and very friendly. Looking for a full meal? You have to have the "Illustrious" Green Corn Tamales. You'll understand why it's a "Best of Phoenix" Award winner. Visit the Web site http://www.jalapenosscottsdale.com/ and enjoy.
