Back in the '90's I took my 5.0 to JBA to install headers. They did a great job on the car and their product was first rate. When it came time to rebuild the engine control module on my stock 2000 Ford F150 Lightning, I decided it was time to add a little performance. Bruce is the tuner at JBA and he knows what he's doing when it comes to supercharged Fords. He took the time to explain the details and gave me a dead on assessment of the results I could expect. The HP gain was very impressive given that the tune basically addressed the air/fuel mixture and firmed up the shifts. The truck is considerably more fun to drive than it was in the factory configuration. Prices are very reasonable when one takes into consideration the quality of work and the attention given to each customer's vehicle. The truck went into the shop in mint condition and came back the same, only faster. One would be hard pressed to find better customer service at another speed shop. J. Bittle makes you feel like your vehicle is the most important one in his shop. The reality is all the cars in his shop are equally important to him. You get what you pay for at JBA.

I live in S.Texas and had alot of options when it was time for me to rebuild an engine for my 1985 5.0L Mustang GT that I was restoring. It didn't take long to see that my needs were not going to met with some out of the box engine, anyone could buy. I wanted more HP and Torque, a custom motor, top to bottom, & better quality components that were not offered by other manufacturers. When I asked the other guys, they said that they didn't need to make any changes & the engines were sitting ready to ship today, that's not what I wanted. A "wharehoused engine" anyone could buy. The staff at JBA listened and gave me the options on the parts I wanted, & we were able to build a better, more powerful custom engine that exceded my intial expectations & budget. They built a 302 Ford with 80 more HP & Torque!, dyno'd and ready to drop in for less money than some catalogue engine or on-line store. The engine fired on the first twist of the key & I'm ready for them to rebuild my next Anti-Carte Engine for my next project. JR & Gregg were great on folow up & even helped me with other parts that I needed to complete my project. They made sure everything was correct for my build. I highly recommend anyone building an engine for a restoration or a new build, to contact JBA for their next project. If you don't believe me, just read some the recent car magazines at your nearest bookstore & see how many times JBA's Anti-Crate Engines are installed in the "featured car". Thanks JBA!

I recently needed a complete rebuild or a new engine for my 1965 Mustang convertible street car. I wanted a little more that "stock" performance. What I got far exceded my expectations. A "mild" 331 stroker that dyno'd over 400hp with an autolite 4100 carb. It idles smooth and is a perfect replacement for the tired old 289. I was more than impressed with the service and quality of the JBA product. The folks at JBA including Jay, J.R., David and all the rest as well as Aaron and John at the machine shop are courteous and really bent over backwards to help me out. I highly recommend JBA. R. Peck

They "tuned" my buddy's mild 67 Camaro with a 600 cfm Holley 4 barrel, MSD distributor and headers and screwed it up and it ran worse. They claim they set it up for "race" but this was obviously a street car only. They did retune it and it was ok. Not worth it, though. They may know Fords just fine, but they are not GM experts.

I have used a few performance shops in the past over dealerships based on technical ability and value. Definately happy with JBA based on those two things. Their hourly rate is about $20 more than the average shop, BUT you get what you pay for. Had my car blow a clutch on the side of the road. Next day it was at JBA, new fly wheel, clutch, fully installed that afternoon and up driving again. They were SUPER helpfull on the phone and took their time once I was in the shop. I'll be repeat customer.

JBA Performance Center is a good place to go to for your car needs. The store is small but they carry a wide selection of auto replacement parts. The store if nicely put together, well organized, and clean. The staff is nice and friendly, also very helpful.
