Even though I noticed a new oil leak after taking my car there, I brought my wife's car there about a week later during the holidays. I thought it was a one-time mistake but I was proven wrong. The pit man cross-threaded the oil plug and cross-threaded a shiny new oil plug into the hole without notifying me. While they were slowly replacing lamps, they turned on the accessories and the battery went dead in the bay because the heater was on. They then measured the battery with a gizmo and tried to tell me it wouldn't hold a charge and offered to sell me a new battery (I declined). They also made kind of a big deal about jump starting my car from one of the mechanic's cars. Apparently this Jiffy Lube does not have any other way of starting dead cars in their bays. The next day there was a quart of oil under my wife's car, which is how I learned about the new cross-threaded oil plug. The last-second trip to Schuck's on New Year's Eve was stressful and also expensive. I re-checked everything on both cars and discovered that they had over-inflated all my tires to 45 psi and the recommendation inside the door panel is 35 psi. I blame myself partly because the new oil leak under the first car should have been enough warning to not go there again.
