I just returned from an appointment for a lube/oil change in response to an 'oil change needed reminder card from the Service Mgr' for $29.95. Upon arrival I was told my 2012 Mazda5 required synthetic oil and the charge would be $59.95. I complained & they offered me a $49.95 price to which I reluctantly agreed. The service was to take 'up to' 70 minutes. I was called to the desk to pay at 85 minutes. The bill came to $55.06, almost dbl. the offer that brought me in. I told them I felt like I had been mislead and they said the small print mentioned synth oil was more $. How would I know I needed synthetic oil? They had me talk to the Mgr. I asked if all 2012 and newer cars required synth oil. He told me all but 1 model. I pointed out that it would be easy to divide their mailing list and send the proper pricing to owners of 2012 and newer Mazdas. He continued to argue and said that the 'small print...blah blah blah'. I continued to say the mailing was extrememly misleading and I was also offered this price when I called to make my appointment. He eventually offered me a refund which I declined. I wasn't looking for a freebee, I only wanted the price offered on the card. At home I looked at my receipt a bit closer and there is no mention of any lube service. I'm skeptical about that being done or it would have been itemized as everything else was. By the time I got my car back, it had been 110 min. Next time... I'll do JiffyLube on Ladies D

I needed a replacement key that I thought I could only get from a Dealer. I never buy car parts and the man at the parts counter knew it. But he treated me as if I was the only customer that mattered and I was flattered by his courtesy and helpfulness. I think his name was Nathan. I will always recommend this dealership based on the good service I received.

Recently had a poor experience where they replaced a gas cap, then a month later my car failed an emissions test due to the gas cap. The service rep refused to replace the gas cap and insisted there was no problem with it. I had to go buy another cap from an auto supplies store, and after that I passed the emissions test fine. When I bought the gas cap from the auto supplies store, I found out that Jim Ellis Mazda charge more than 3 times what I paid at the auto supplies store. This particular service rep was very rude. I refuse to go back to a place like this where I am treated rudely.

I am a sales professional in financial services and I, of course, run across people that are called "sales professionals" and, usually, nothing could be further from the truth. I wanted to write this to applaud the True Sale Professionals I met at Jim Ellis Madza. Only out of great respect do I ever write on these types of web sites and I rarely do, but they earned my respect and business, and will have my service business too. Thank you guys.
I should have written this sooner, about a week ago I purchased a New CX-5 from Jim Ellis Madza of Marietta. It was a wonderful experience. My salesperson was knowledgeable and very kind. I would recommend anyone looking for a new or used car to go there. I was not disappointed and you will not be too.
Two days ago, I took delivery of my new 2012 Madza3 4 door. I love it! I have never been treated as well as they treated me at Jim Ellis Madza in Marietta. From the car to every person I met, I was very impressed. Thank you!
I'm a stay at home mom who has to take her kids to their after school actives, so I needed a car to accommodate them and their friends. After some searching, I found Jim Ellis Madza Marietta. I am so happy I went there. The whole staff was very helpful with my car choicing. I took awhile, but they bared with me and were very patient. When my kids get older and need a car, I will definitely go to Jim Ellis Madza Marietta. Thanks you guys, Pearl

Two weeks ago my old car started giving me problems, I did not know what to do since I owned money on it, more than I knew it was probably worth. Because my sister had a Mazda3 and really loves hers, I thought I should maybe really consider looking at one as well. So I starting calling dealers around Atlanta, and soon go very upset at the way I was being treated by men on the phone. Most of them talked down to me and suggested I bring in my husband to disuss options. Finally I called Jim Ellis Mazda of Marietta and spoke to Dave Evans, one of the managers. What a total differance in style. He was nice, respectfull, understanding, and listened to me. After a while he made some great suggetion and invited me in to see him. the next day I get a ride to thier dealership, (my car was broke down) and met with Dave. He had already had a couple of cars pulled up for me to look at waiting for my arrival. that was a plesant suprise. I picked out one fo the cars he had and we began to talk about the price. He made it simple to understand and disclose all the rebates so I understood everything. I bought the car because of so many reasons, i could not say anything more, than thank you from the bottom of my heart. BTW I am not married and not once did Dave ever assume I was. Thank you Jim Ellis Mazda, and Dave Evansm Billie

I had a blown seal in the motor of my RX-8 which caused coolant to leak into the engine. The motor was still under warranty so I took the car to my local dealership. After getting the run-around, being forced to pay over $400 in "diagnostics", and seeing through their attempts to bully me into paying $4500 for unnecessary repairs before doing the warranty work I needed, I took my car to Jim Ellis Mazda in Marietta (about 1.5 hours from where I live). Everything from my initial phone call to the moment I drove my car off the lot was amazing. The staff was courteous and helpful, they gave me a loaner car without me even asking (I fully expected to pay for a rental which would have cost me over $300), and they told me point blank that they'd do everything they could to get me taken care of under warranty. There were no thinly veiled insinuations that I might have caused the problem somehow or crackpot theories about how my non-Mazda battery or spark plug wires could have caused the engine to blow like I had heard at numerous other dealerships in my lifetime. I now have a new motor in my car and it's running better than ever. This is the first dealership I've ever found that sincerely has the customers best interest at heart and I couldn't be happier with the service I received and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone!

Be extremely cautious and question everything these guys do with your vehicle. I took mine in for a leak and $700+ later, I had to take it back because it still leaked. I was told "we made a mistake". There is no way that they properly inspected the vehicle after the repair or this stupid mistake would have been caught. They did spend some time inspecting so that they could try to add other repairs at insanely high prices. Pressure will be applied to sell you while your car is captive in the shop, so stop and think hard about shopping around. All in all, the techniques that Jim Ellis uses does not instill the trust that I need in a car mechanic. Good luck with them and BEWARE.

Bad experience. Salesman withheld pages of the Carfax report that indicated the used vehicle I bought was a commercial vehicle sold at auction. I only discovered this when I traded the vehicle and saw the withheld information. Had I known the information they hid from me, I either would not have bought the car or offered a lot less. Lessons learned by this long time Mazda fan: Don't trust Jim Ellis Mazda and pull your own Carfax report.

"Sales rep was great when I purchased a few years ago. Service department (Eddie G) is awesome. I have actually moved from Smyrna to Snellville but because of Eddie and the level of service he provides I still drive back across the top end of 285 (nightmare) for service at Jim Ellis Marietta. Thanx for the survey. Hope my feedback helps.--EDL 3"

"My experience was wonderful. Mr. Craig made me feel right at home and really took the time to talk about the vehicle. He also spoke directly to me as opposed to my husband which I really appreciated. I spent about a week analyzing and reviewing information Mr. Craig sent to me. I loved that we were able to complete most of the process via email and phone calls. I loved that I did not have to spend my entire day buying a car. Chris was also wonderful. He also answered my questions no matter how silly they may have sounded. He walked us through the paperwork and made us feel very comfortable with our purchase. I would highly recommend your dealership and Mr. Craig.--Melissa Whisler"
