After being told 15-30 minutes for a battery change I left my car there and walked back to work. After 1 1/2 hours I called and they were not finished. After 2 hours I walked down and they were rude when I questioned it taking 2 hours. I was told "We take 1 1/2 hours on our oil changes so 2 hours for a battery is not bad". I have had batteries changed in the past and 15 minutes about does it. While I was waiting I saw two employees mossy out for sodas at a near by market..... The fact that they were rude is what broke me! My guess is they must not need my business because I wouldn't wait for an hour and a half for an oil change either!!! I drove by there a few days later and the bays were all empty at 1 pm.....Wow, Wonder Why!!!

Do not under any circumstances use this place. They just burned me for $530. I have a Chrysler Pacifica and was having AC problems. It blew hot and cold intermittently and then the blower quit blowing completely. Because it was close, I went to Joe s Auto on Union Hills and 43rd. I like supporting neighborhood businesses. I asked them to give me an estimate on what it would take to put my car back to normal ac wise.. I explained the symptoms and after a checkout, they said they could fix it for $530. He explained that my blower motor had been causing the intermittent issues and that by replacing it, all problems would be resolved. Silly me. I believed him. 4hours and $530 later, I got my car back. It blew cold for a couple of hours and quit blowing cold. I took it back figuring they d fix it. No charge. He then told me he wanted another $300 to put an evaporator coil in. I said, But you said you could fix it for $530. He said, and I kid you not... "Well I can t predict the future". You know what? I can. I can predict I will never be suckered by good ol Joe s Auto again. These guys are either straight up shysters, or incompetent. Regardless, in my book, if you give your word, it should mean something. You should do what you promise to your customers. Joes Auto should not be trusted under any circumstances.

I took my car in for ac work and the guy tells me I need a new radiator because the one I have is leaking. I said I would take care of the radiator later. To date I have not had to add water or antifreeze to the rediator and my car has not overheated once over the summer months. Not sure I would recommend this place.

I've used joes auto a couple times and they are pretty much your average mechanic shop. Their rates are not bad and their shop work is about what you could expect from any average shop. Once or twice I've had a couple issues with their work but I've just gone right back to them and they are ok with fixing any mess ups. In short they will get you taken care of, just make sure you do a once over when you get your car back.
