I used to like this shop a lot. A friend who knows cars well recommended it. And for a couple years, I got what I believed was good service from them. They were friendly and seemed to charge fair prices and did a good job. But when I started bringing my second car in, things got weird. It was an older car, but one time when I brought it in, it was running fine and I'd asked for some routine work. I got a call back a few days later saying, "My god, the vibrations when I drive your car are horrible, it's like the stick shift is ready to pop out." All I can tell you readers is that when I brought it in, it drove fine! They said they needed to get a new drive shaft on a car that had less than 100K miles. They swore the vibration was unbearable even at 35 mph, even though before I brought it to them it was smooth at 80 mph. I felt like they had me over a barrel, so I said "go ahead." When I got the car back, it drove harsher and there was actually more vibration at 60mph then I'd ever had before. I can't prove there was wrong doing and maybe there wasn't any, but I can't help but feel something went wrong that day and I was left paying for either a bogus charge or for a screwup that they committed and had to fix. Your experiences may be better, but I have elected not to return.
