KTM has completed several jobs for us. I most appreciate them not pushing for a full roofing job when only an area repair is needed. They have completed small repairs and roofing on a separate wing of our house.

After KTM promised but failed to fix a few items that were damaged during the roofing process, I received a call from the owner. He proceeded to explain that no one had ever promised to fix anything (which was incorrect), that KTM was not responsible for any damage on the inside of home no matter the cause, and that KTM had gone through "a thousand lawsuits where the judge had found they could not be held responsible for such damage." I couldn't help but note that if he's had to deal with a thousand lawsuits about damage inside homes, his company is clearly doing something wrong. Tim's tone was snide, dismissive, and threatening. While he did call back to apologize a few minutes later, that interaction crystallized to me his company's view of service and his overall attitude towards his customers. It also took over two months after I sent them a signed contract for KTM to "complete" the project.

KTM Roofing has been in business for 32 years, and we receive a very large part of our clientele based on referrals. This is due to the fact that we are an honest, fair, and highly-reputable company. There are allegations in this review that are untrue, and we have stated facts below to support this statement.
KTM did not promise to fix the customer's issues, but we did try to help. This project is a flat roof, and KTM is a Carlisle certified commercial roof installer. Sometimes, on a rare occurrence, items inside could reveal themselves as faulty, or a book may fall off a shelf. During this project the customer asked us to look at a can light fixture that had come loose, and we discovered that one of the plastic clips was melted. It seemed that it just took some vibration on the roof to expose the problem. The second concern from the customer was that a speaker had come loose from the ceiling and we found a bracket that holds it, broken. Although, neither of the two items in question was caused by KTM's negligence, we did try to find parts to help fix the customer's issues, but to no avail.
Tim McLoughlin, the owner of KTM Roofing for 32 years, did not say "KTM had gone through a thousand lawsuits where the judge had found that they could not be held responsible for such damage." What Tim actually said was that he "would not believe that a judge would decide on the customer's behalf in this case. " Tim only said this because this customer is an attorney, and he was persistent for KTM to fix the two items in question.
KTM is accused of taking over 2 month to complete the project. This is the breakdown: On 02/08/16, this customer called KTM to get a quote to replace his roof. KTM quoted the job on 02/17/16. The customer awarded the job on 03/14/16. KTM offered to start the project on 03/30/16, but the customer was out of town and needed to wait a week. The customer requested that KTM begin work on the week of 04/07/16, but due to inclement weather, the start date was pushed to 04/10/16, and the project was completed on 04/13/16, 22 working days after acceptance.
Tim admits that his tone was not his friendliest; however Tim did call back to apologize to the customer.
At the time of this conversation, the customer refused to pay for the work that had been performed and completed. The customer paid the invoice on 06/13/16, 61 days after completion.
KTM fixed a leak on my roof, but replaced shingles with ones that didn't match our original shingles. We called them about the complaint, but they said there is nothing they can do about it. Now, I will have to spend more money to fix this error. No one will return our calls about this.

: We sent our roofing repair consultant out to quote a repair at this residence on 4/8/16. Our roofing repair consultant gave a quote to repair the area needing attention and let the customer know that we would try our best to match the colors, but that there would be a slight difference in color due to the fading and wear and tear from the sun on the older shingles that would be surrounding the newer shingles. We matched the colors of the shingles to the best of our ability (3-tab Weathered Wood shingles) and sent the repair crew out to complete the repairs after receiving the customer's approval to do so. Upon completion, the customer had concerns that the colors did not match, as was warned prior to completing the repair. Per the customer's request, we scheduled our quality control consultant out to inspect the job completed, and he found the same thing our repair consultant found - that the shingle colors did not match exactly due to the fading, wearing and tearing of the older shingles. The repair was completed properly, and we were able to stop the leaks and further damage to the roof and to the home. The shingle types matched, as did the original shingle colors. Had we chosen a shingle color that matched more closely to the current color of the older shingles, the sun would fade, wear and tear the newer shingles to quickly become a different color from the older shingles (probably a lighter color). This color-matching issue is inevitable when repairing a section of the roof as opposed to replacing the entire roof, no matter what type of shingles are used. The only way to avoid this issue at all is to replace the entire roof, which the customer did not want considering the condition of the rest of the roof. If there was a resolution to this issue, we would have been more than happy to do so. However, for this particular situation, there is not.
We have waited two years to write this review because immediate reviews can be worthless. KTM replaced our roof and the experience has been superb. Previous owners of our home thoroughly screwed up the home with a high maintenance faux slate roof that leaked. KTM took the time to study the situation and explain our options. Other roofers either took one look and walked away or gave us flimsy estimates. We took their recommendations and their team implemented them. The roof looks great and we have not had any leaks.
Replaced a crappy faux slate roof that leaked with a wonderful new roof that does not.

I was in a desperate situation with several leaks in my sun room and needed help immediately. I contacted three different roofing companies to come out and give me a quote on a new roof. Although the other two companies were comparable in price, they did not give me the customer service that I received from KTM Roofing. Not only did KTM Roofing quote me a great price, they addressed all the issues concerning my roof (lower slope in some areas requiring special treatment) and were out re roofing within a WEEK!! Both of the other companies told me it would be a minimum of six weeks before they would be able to work me into their schedule! Every time it rains now, I have peace of mind that my roof is secure. They also have a 12 year warranty!! The roof looks AMAZING!! I am so glad I called KTM Roofing! I would definitely recommend them. :)

Chris diagnosed our roof leakage issue immediately (where other roofing companies did not). He was able to have his crew perform the repairs quickly. This was about 6 months ago and we have had no further leak issues.

I never received a report that my mortgage company (refi) would accept. All I needed was a report on the company letterhead, their licensing information (on the letter), and the 'economic' life of the roof. Even after multiple messages, the report as requested never arrived. Big waste of $350.

If you paid $350 for an inspection, you definitely should have received it via email. It's possible we have the wrong email address on file for you. PLEASE call our office immediately, and we will get this to you. Unfortunately, Kudzu reviews only tell us your "user name", not your real name, or I would certainly be calling you right now! Please contact us asap.
Richard came out and gave me an estimate for a roof on my screened- in porch and a rake fascia board. He explained why it was higher than I expected, was patient and answered all my questions. Work was scheduled, George showed up a little early on the day and worked diligently for 6 hours. No payment was asked for up front. I was happy with the work and professionalism.

I would not recommend using this company. I contracted with KTM to repair a leaky rook. They were supposed to replace two roof deck board that had holes in them and patch the roof. They did neither and during the severe rain we had in December, the leak worsened and became a stream of water. The insulation got wet and my ceiling fell. Once the ceiling had fallen, I could see the rafters and the roof deck boards. The board that had the hole in it and was supposed to be replaced had a shingle over it and a nail driven through it (I've got pictures). KTM sent another roofer out to repair, the initial repair. He did more work than the first two who came out. He replaced one of the boards and re-patched the roof. He did not replace the second board.

The customer called KTM in regards to two leaks. We at KTM Roofing provided him with a proposal to fix the leaks. We, not only did what we said we would do per our contract, we also came back and replaced an entire valley and replaced decking as needed, these items were not in the contract.
The contract we provided did not remedy all of the problems this customer had with his roof, so we took it upon ourselves to go above and beyond and provide far more than for which we are getting paid. We have pictures of both repairs.
The damage this customer has inside of his home is due to the leaks he. We did not cause the problems; we fixed them.
I know ther are other good roofers out there, but I have used KTM for a number of years on different properties, (thankfully, not often) and have always been pleased. One property had a flat roof that was always pronlematic, and Tim figured out how to make it work. When ther was an issue, they have always made it right, and have always stood behind their work.

I had my roof replaced by KTM in May, 2015. At that time, I interviewed about 10 companies. Some were big and reputable and, some were smaller family owned businesses. The price of KTM was on the lower end, however two companies who gave me lower prices came back later and told me that they miss quoted me and increased the price. I decided to go with KTM. I am a very particular person and I worry about everything. During the process, I constantly called the owner for questions. The owner was very patient with me and explained in detail about the options and technical procedure. He was quick to respond and very accommodating. His crew was fast and careful. They did a great job and closely followed the manufacture guidelines. I feel some roofing companies might try to cut corners during installation. The invoice department of KTM was also fast and accurate. Overall, I am very satisfied and would highly recommend KTM to anybody.

KTM did a good job for me recently. I has them come out to appraise a new roof for me & they did a nice job explaining the work they would be doing. I eventually just opted for a repair of my existing roof & they did a good job on the work that was done. When I get my new roof in a couple of years, I will definitely use them. UPDATE: I got my new roof from KTM this year & they did a great job! The crew came out & finished the job quickly & did a good job cleaning up the site. Chris came by & infected the roof & answered some questions I had. The whole process was very professional. I can definitely recommend them.
