I am not a horse person. However, when my friend convinced me to spend a few days at the Kay el Bar if only just to relax, be pampered with scrumptious food and enjoy the scenery, I caved. Who would have thunk it? This horse person is now a convert. Not only did I enjoy probably the best meals I've ever tasted (and I've had quite a few), but the atmosphere and staff made my visit to the Kay el Bar one of my favorite life's experiences. The friendly and knowledgeable staff gently boosted my confidence to actually get on a horse without fear. It was one of the most liberating experiences of my life. The staff, 1920's architecture (yet modern-day amenities), amazing meals, God's beautiful canvas-life doesn't get any better!!
