I went up to Kids Go Round the other day to check on my account. They are no longer in business. A new store has opened Trendy Trades the owner Stacey (used to work for Kids Go Round). I asked about my account and to my surprise this lady is nuts....a good nuts..She is trying to pay back the debt that Kids Go Round left over 20k to just consigners. She is offering store credit or your money. Her story is amazing she is a single mom w/2 girls she cleans houses in the mornings to pay her bills at home, she does not take any money from the store any left over after she pays her consigners and rent, other bills will go to people KGR owed. Not only is she trying to make things right she is making them better. Girl Scouts, Cheerleaders have been out selling things even clothes and they keep that money. The local school systems is working with her to let children in need come up and shop off the sales racks(if they make good grades). Women have made special outfits, bows, etc. for the store she takes no profit from that. You ask her way she is doing this and she says she cares what happens to people. Women have been in there helping hang clothes, one did the window design, It is amazing. I will take my clothes to her and send as many people to her as I can.Go check it out.Hopefully you will get to meet her and Jerilynn that works with her. She not only will try to help you but listening to her story will truly touch you, I know it did me. We need more people in the world like her.

I too received a bad check for $40.05. When I called last month I left a message on the answering machine. No return call, no one answers, and I'm out the cash plus the bounce check fee from my bank and a bunch of cloths. Hopefully the new gal can get things running again and pay off the bad debt. This is a great concept and just needs a little better management.

I just consigned on the 19th...a lot of stuff...and have been consigning there a lot, but now the store has closed, changed the name, etc. and I can't get an answer on what's about my stuff or money? This is dishonest, and the new owner needs to step up and do some explaining to those whose merchandise she's still carrying. Does anyone know anything about this?

I stopped by today because they STILL have clothes of mine I had consigned but requested back when I had a very difficult time getting paid on what had sold. There is a new owner (previously worked for the old owner) and as far as I can tell she's trying to get everything straightened out. The place has a whole new look and I'm going to cautiously give them a try. The stars above are for Kids go round, not the new store.

Well, looking at the last review it makes me wonder if they're out of business. I've been calling for 3 days now with no answer. I stopped by there and the store is full of merchandise but nobody is there. She now has my clothing & money! I guess I should've stopped by sooner and demanded cash.

Our payment check bounced! When I went to get payment, the owner promised me she would have it later in the afternoon but NO PAYMENT. I went back to the store and the employee told me I wasn't the only person who had a bounced check. The employee stated the owner was bouncing checks to SEVERAL customers. The employee said the owner thought it was funny and didn't really care. She said the store was in debt $30K to customers but the owner didn't care about that either. If this lady gives you a bad check, please send her a demand letter in the mail giving her 10 days to provide payment. If no payment after 10 days, go to the Forsyth County Magistrate judge and obtain a warrant for her arrest. There is a $36.00 filing fee for the warrant. She will be arrested and have to post a bond which will likely cost more than the money she owes you. She is mistreating people, breaking the law, and the court system should know about it! Don't let her get away with this! Don't let her do this to other people!

I have found several boutique clothes for my children at great prices. The clothes were in very good condition. The staff were not very helpful and it is a little messy though.

I have NEVER found this store to pay late! I love this store and I have consigned for 3 years. I admit, I usually just get store credit, but I have gotten a check several times and never have had a problem. I usually find what I am looking for, and it is always of good quality. My favorite service offered is the "wish list", where you can ask to be called if something specific comes in! I have gotten many things through this service and I love it!!

We recently consigned a large amount of children's items through this store. More than three months after the sell of said items, we have yet to be compensated. Michelle Daniel (the owner of the store) has; a: avoided our calls. b: allegedly never at the store. c: told my wife several times "the check is in the mail". d: when we threatened to sue, she wrote us a check, which BOUNCED, now I have fees. e: I left a message with one of her staff members (she's never at the store) that writing a bad check can fall under federal offense. She left a message with my wife, promising a cashier's check that day. That was nine days ago. I would not advice doing business with this store. Anyone who launders consigned money and cooks their books under the cloak of a children's consignment store does not deserve the patronage of any family.

The store is fine to buy items...but don't try to sell anything. They were VERY slow when it came time to pay. They can't pay you if the manager isn't there and the manager is rarely there. They get their money right away but don't feel the need to pay you on time. Use caution!!
