Please stay away from "Dr" Kim. My face has been completely destroyed by this man. For a detailed account of my experience, along with pictures, please go to Real Self. My review is entitled A Nightmare! (Pictures)

As a performer, I am constantly aware of my appearance and combat signs of aging on a daily basis! I live 4 hours away from Dr. Kim but researched thoroughly the different procedures I wanted done and physicians who do them. Over the past several years, Dr. Kim has performed all of them, much to my satisfaction, right there in the surgery center at his office off Oakcliff Rd. He listens to his patients, asks questions and understands their needs. He may even make helpful suggestions. A cosmetic surgeon must be skilled and knowledgeable but he must also be an artist and Dr. Kim is that. He and his staff make me feel welcome and comfortable, the procedures were quick and affordable. I would recommend him to anyone - for anything!

I had my upper eyelids done 20 years ago for medical reasons. Well, I decided to have my upper lids done for cosmetic reasons when I moved up from Florida 5 years ago. I made a big mistake and went to an oculoplastic surgeon in a fancy posh large practice, who was referred by a friend who didn't know his surgical skills. Unfortunately, after that surgeon did my bleph my eyelids were uneven, the same surgeon did a revision on one of my eyelids, to make them even but that revision did not turn out right. How horrific for me! That surgeon told me he could do nothing else. All I knew was that i paid a lot of money for some nice small talk and for uneven eyelids. I lived with looking at my asymmetrical eyes for 5 years. I am so grateful to have found Dr. Kim on the internet. His staff were and are very supportive and their confidence in him helped me get through this ordeal again and to have some faith in surgeons. Dr. Kim was realistic and did tell me it wasn't going to be easy, but he could do better. I was terrified on the day of my surgery, I knew I couldn't get anymore surgeries on my eyelids after this. I was so relieved, so happy to see the results after Dr. Kim fixed what was said to be unfixable. He is very skillful and takes pride in his work. It's been almost over 2 months postop, my friends continue to compliment me on my eyes and I can look in the mirror and be happy to see me. Thank you to Dr. Kim and his staff! I wish I had come to you 5 years ago

I have been a patient of Dr. Kim's for 5 years and I have ALWAYS been happy with my results when he's finished. He is very precise and has a great artistic eye! He does not sell you a service simply because you think you need it. Instead, he'll make more appropriate recommendations based on his years of experience that ultimately create a more youthful and flawless appearance. The staff is awesome and they treat you like family. Dr. Kim is a fantastic physician!

ladies do not go to him he has no bedside manner. he should not be in the field of cosmetic surgery nor a physician. i went in for rhino and i had to go under the knife a total of 3 times! He couldn't place the devices(silicone than gortex?) properly which was causing it to shift around. wasted 4000! i asked him for my files and his staff made stupid excuses. i got it taken out and fixed my another surgeon and he told me Dr. kim lacked precision which was causing the material to shift. He charges for consultations to lock people in!

Horrible doctor. Did not do any paperwork on surgery. Gave me some red pills without prescription, put something in my nose other than cartilage. made my nose bigger and wider. pinched my nose very hard when I went back to see him about my concerns. would not give me the operative notes for the surgery. disfigured my nose and the staff was arrogant and spiteful about what they had done.

Do not go to Dr. Kim for a scar revision because that is not his area of expertise. I allowed Dr. Kim to excise a scar on my lower back. It looked nice for the first 2 weeks, then a couple of weeks later a part of the scar stretched out REALLY wide. I remembered that a steroid was injected into the scar during surgery. After doing some research, I found out that new scars should not be injected with a steroid to soon. Sometimes it's best to wait 6 months to a year. So I went back to Dr. Kim and he agreed to try to re-excise the scar. This time he wanted to "raise" the scar up above the rest of my skin by looping the sutures in a "fancy way". He also decided that he would use "regular" sutures, instead of dissolvable sutures. I told him I didn't want the scar raised and that I didn't want the regular sutures because those leave "track" marks. I asked Dr. Kim to just cut the scar out the "regular" way and reclose it with dissolvable sutures. He said that the only way he would re-do the scar revision would be to do it his way. So I asked if the regular sutures would leave any marks and he looked me in my eyes and said "no". Well, the regular sutures did leave "track" marks around the main scar AND other scars further out from the main scar where he went in and out of my skin in several places around the scar for extra reinforcement and to raise up the scar. So instead of just one scar, I now have 20 scars. Kim is absolutely, positively not the person to see for a scar revision.

Went to Dr. kim for wrinkling neck and sagging jowls. Iam post surgery six weeks and my incisions are almost invisable. Minimal swelling and had slight bruising that was easily concealed with make-up for the few days it was apparent. I am a health care provider who has seen the results of many plastic surgeries and I feel Dr. Kim is an artist at work.

I had problems with belly fat after having my three children. Even with exercise and dieting, I couldn't get rid of the belly fat. I went to Dr Kim for liposuction and the results were fantastic! Great surgeon, funny, completely put me at ease. Would recommend him to all my friends.

They Think its my new hair style. The results were instant. And I look so natural. I work in sales so my looks are very important to me. Thank you for giving me my confidence back. It was the best spent money I have ever spent.

Don't go to Dr. Kun Z. Kim. I was recommended to him to have a scar removed from my eyelid. I was not looking for any change to the eyelids, just removal of a scar from an old operation. He did a terrible job, the scar is now larger than it was before and the eyes do not match. He did not tell me he would fix the problem, only that he would "try his best", he also did not apologize for the mistake. A terrible "bedside manner", and refuses to listen to the patient.

Eyelid surgeries are our expertise and we pride ourselves in excellent outcomes of many patients; however, there will be occasional "out of the ordinary" circumstances where patients may not feel content with their outcomes. In this particular case, we have asked this patient to wait for her to completely heal before taking any further action. It is unfortunate that she feels that he neglected her, when we are willing to take full responsibility to correct the area. We asked her to wait and have full confidence in his work and judgement.
I met with Dr Kim in the summer re: my face and jowls. He gave me a very accurate medical assessment of what he could do to improve my looks and turn the clock back on my aging face. I was impressed with his serious and candid assessment; felt he is very straight and was extremely impressed with recent photos of his work. One month ago I had surgery; excellent outcome. He is an artist with faces - the outcome exceeded my expectations. No problems with healing. He is caring and concerned with healing process; his nurses very kind and sensitive. Very professional office. Dr Kim deserves the highest rating!!

The staff is very friendly and the lady who did IPL on my face two times is so skilled and detailed. I was very happy with her care and concern and went ahead and got a 'spur of the moment' injection of Botox because I felt comfortable opting for further treatment. Dr. Kim has very steady hands and it was not half as painful as expected. The results are great and I will definitely go back. The only down-side is that the location is not really convenient and kind of tricky to find.

Dr. Kim and his staff were amazing before they got my money. After they received my money, though, all bets were off. I won't deny that Dr. Kim is awesome when it comes to plastic surgery - I got two procedures done by him and am pretty happy with the results (though I mentioned something that bothered me, and he dismissed it by saying it was my imagination). However, after the surgery was done, and I had some concerns that needed to be addressed, they completely dismissed me (yet again). It's too long to get into, but... if you want a doctor for skill ONLY, go to Dr. Kim. If you want a doctor who actually CARES about you in even the slightest bit, go spend your money elsewhere.

Fully aware that health insurance companies do not cover the cost of cosmetic procedures, this patient requested us to file a medical claim to her insurance company. The patient believed that her cosmetic procedure alleviated a medical condition. We are happy that she feels better, but it is unfortunate that she felt we didn't care because we refused to file a fraudulent claim. We do not compromise our ethical values and practice bad medicine to make our patients happy. We follow all legal protocols and address all medical concerns with all of our patients in the most professional way.
