Total scam. When I first went there the so called owner was arguing with a customer because they bought a few plants from him and they all died 3 days later. He was yelling at them, told them he was not going to refund them anything, and even threatened to call the police. The trees were very unhealthy and very overpriced. This is not a real nursery but a guy by the name of John's front yard. It seemed that he didn't even take care of any of the plants. He will try to lure you with fake prices and fake photos. All of the photos on his websites and ads are totally fake. He will lie and practically tell you anything to get you to go there. He will jack up the prices and he will no even mention the true condition of the plants. Again this is not a nursery but someones house. Don't say I didn't warn you. Go to a real nursery not to mention John is rude and a lier. P.S. You can Google maps the address and you will see on Google earth that it is a house and not a real business.

We got seven plants that equaled to the cost of one plant at the places we previously visited that day. Prices were great and the selection too! John knows his stuff and had a reasonable delivery fee. Highly recommend he is a funny guy and was easy to talk to.

Very happy with the service I received here. John is a good and friendly guy. I picked up a Reed avocado tree and a Valencia orange tree, and the prices were very competitive. John also showed me around the nursery a little bit, and even offered me to sample some of the nectarines that he picked as we were walking by. Highly recommended.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME VISITING THIS NURSERY!!! As I exited my car, John (the owner) greeted us by saying "you can't fit any trees in that car". I told him I was interested in Succulants to which he replied, "are you a contractor or landscaper?". I told him I has seen his ads previously on Craigslist selling flats of succulents for $29 or $39. He led us to an area with a sparse and limited selection of succulents, handed my an empty tray and said they are $49 a tray. He then walked away and returned smoking a cigar. I looked at his selection and I already had many of what he had available. I saw a few I wasn't familiar with and asked how much they were individually. His answer was as obnoxious as his cigar. His price for anything on the succulent table was (did you guess?) $49. I thought I misunderstood him and said, I didn't want a whole tray, just some individual succulents and again asked what the price was. He told us his minimum price to buy anything was $49. He then walked away without a word. We did the same. For starters, nowhere in his extremely limited web page does it say he has a $49 minimum. He has almost NO PARKING. Only a short narrow driveway. We were the only customers there. Driveway was so narrow and short that I had to backup onto Rancho Vista Rd to exit. To sum it up, this guy has NO SELECTION, NO PARKING, NO CUSTOMERS AND HE DEMANDS A $49 MINIMUM PURCHASE.

While perusing something else, I see an ad for a Vista nursery. OK, we always need something new to grow and went to look. John has a fantastic selection and he helped us decide what to consider and what he recommended - "go with the white fig rather than the black." "The Haas avocado gets pretty tall, but the Lamb Haas is shorter with the same fruit." Great advice, great selection of trees, but wait, you ain't heard nothing yet. John agreed to deliver and plant the trees for a very reasonable price. Would we recommend them? Heck yes! Will we go back? Dadgum right! John was very helpful, prompt and professional in every way.

Confession: I'm a nursery troll and visit them frequently. But when it comes to Avocados I don't trust a general nurseries product or advice. John, is invaluable to avocados and I'm praying he's passing his knowledge on so generations can benefit from it. His trees are beautiful, fairly priced, and will get you excited. The best part is once you pay for your tree, your service doesn't end. Many of times I have called up John describing problems stemming from my lack of experience and he has calmly talked me off the ledge and helped me get better at being a father to my trees. Be prepared to leave with more than an avocado or two. His citrus trees are just as remarkable!

I Went to Kingman AvoCitrus to find my dad a Pomegranate tree for Christmas. When I got there I saw John carefully pruning some of his trees. I told him what I was looking for and he quickly showed me what he had. We were talking for a bit on how to take of the plant when I told him that it was a gift and that my dad likes growing fruit that's not too typical. From there John took me throughout his nursery and showed me all the different tress he had and made some suggestions on what else would grow nicely. I was surprised on the wide variety of plants he had. I was more surprised on how willingly John took the time to show me everything and make sure that I was a happy customer. He also gave me a bunch of different citrus fruit to take home and try out, my car smelled like a citrus oasis for a few hours. Since I'm personally not much of a grower, I don't know how his prices compare to others but I don't care too much. When I get that kind of customer service, I will keep going back.

We wanted to plant a Jacaranda tree in our yard but the trees available at the home improvement stores looked sad, to say the least. We went to Kingman's and found just what we wanted, and then some (a Jacaranda, a Hong Kong Orchid tree & succulents). The trees were delivered right on time and we couldn't be happier. Kingman's was very friendly and knowledgeable.

We were looking for a Jacarunda tree to replace an unidentified non-edible citrus tree in our backyard. We found Kingmans on craigslist and liked the pricing given over the phone. Once there, we immediately found what we wanted, plus a plethora of succulents at great prices. He has huge succulents as well, but just $1 and $2 for small ones perfect for patio planters. Much better selection and pricing than Home Depot by far. John was very friendly and helpful and knowledgeable, and we are actually going back tomorrow for two more Jacarunda trees, probably another flat of succulents and maybe some flax. Highly recommend for a no frills, great selection of indigenous plants.
