The folks at Kirkwood Bark & Lounge take amazing care of my dog and they've been doing so for over a year now. I am truly thankful for the care and love that they show my pooch every time I drop her off to play while I work all day long. You can log in and watch your best pal remotely from your cell phone at any time. They are very careful when it comes to assessing temperament on new dogs which shows that they respect the clientele and they really care about our pups. I can't thank Joann, Patty, David, Raven and everyone else at the Bark & Lounge enough!

Joann's team, including Patty, Hilly, and David up front, are terrific! They are attentive to the dogs in their care. I really appreciate having the cameras to check in on my pup through out the day to see how much fun she's having burning up her energy. Great neighborhood-oriented business.

my dog came home with a bloody bitten face 3 of the 5 times i sent him here. each time, the staff had NO explanation as to what happened. the staff and owner were completely unresponsive to any request (ie, i asked that he be placed with small dogs to avoid being bitten). contrary to what they say, the small and large dogs are NOT separated and the "outdoor" area is a tiny 5' x 10' concrete area. the staff seemed bored and untrained. the owner seems to be in it for the $$$. luckily, i found a different, better facility - its further from home and more expensive but WORTH IT. don't waste your money or risk your pet's safety here.

I am always responsive to all customers for any reason and I am not quite sure who your dog is. It is a general practice at the facility if any dog is injured by rough play or any other reason we notify the owner. Our outdoor area is not 5' x 10' however it is 1000 sq feet and it very visible to anyone via our webcam. Small dogs do play with the big dogs at owners request or kept separate at owners request. Lastly I am not in it for the $$$. I operate a facilty that is one of the smallest in Atlanta and have a cutoff point to the amount of dogs we to accept on any given day and have turned dogs away because we were at our capacity. I take pride in operating a safe, loving daycare and boarding facility and always will!
I took my little dog, Poppy, to Kirkwood Bark & Lounge while we went out of town. She had never been boarded before. The staff were very friendly and I felt confident that she would be safe. I was able to watch her play on the doggie cams, and saw the staff playing and petting her constantly. All the dogs were well behaved, and the staff is constantly cleaning. I plan to bring her back to daycare just to play!

The people at Kirkwood Bark & Lounge are super friendly and you can tell they really care for the dogs they watch. Whenever I look on their doggy cam I see people playing with the dogs. It's been hard to find a kennel that I trust with Lily, but this one's it.

We have taking Barney, our high energy Lab, to Kirkwood Bark & Lounge since they opened. He is excited when we get there in the morning to drop him off and exhausted when he comes home and sleeps much of the next day. The staff takes great care of the dogs. The one downside is my office IT depart blocks the port for the webcam so I can't watch him play.

I have boarded by boxer on several occassions. The staff at Kirkwood Bark and Lounge give her plenty of attention and when I pick her up she is not "shell-shocked" like she was when I would board her at a conventional boarding facility. I would recommend them to all of my friends.

Lucy loves going to daycare here. Everyone is so sweet and helpful. When Lucy first started going she was a little nervous and whined a lot. Even though she was probably very annoying, the daycare workers never let on and have worked with her a lot. She has come a long way. Daycare has really helped her socialization skills and she is always super excited to go every week. We love Kirkwood Bark and Lounge!

Moved from out of state needed a place for my dog to stay over night. Called Kirkwood and they was able to provide excellent care for Hunter who has special dietary needs. Whenever we are going out of town Hunter is boarded at Kirkwood or if she needs play time we use the daycare. I like being able to view Hunter via the internet during operating hours. The staff is always friend and helpful. Kirkwood has weekly special for daycare and boarding. I am very pleased with Kirkwood and would recommend it to dog owners.

Allowed our 5 month old puppy to be boarded at last minute without "mandatory" temperament test-after spending 5 minutes with him and realizing he obviously isn't threatening- sounds small but something the other places refused to do...Pup had a great time and was exhausted when he got home from playing..also had option of watching him with the other dogs on live feed- something very comforting for new puppy parents..

You can't go wrong when you take your best friend to the Bark and Lounge. Hercules has been going consistently for months and Joann and her staff are amazing. They have taken time to train Herc, an 18 month old lab, ensure that he gets special treats beyond what I pack, and provide lots of love. This is one of the businesses that make a community rich, given the additional fund raising they do for animal welfare.
