I've been taking cooking classes here for 15+ years. Phillis Carey is my favorite instructor/cookbook author--she makes cooking fun, interesting and easy--and she dishes out good-sized portions and incredible cooking tips and shortcuts. Sign up for her cocktail classes-- I usually go with a group of friends and see a lot of the "regulars" there. It's a very cozy, casual setting--and you get a nice discount on store items during class. I like the idea of supporting a local business owner rather than a "chain" store. I think I own just about every gadget Phillis has demonstrated in class--and I love the gourmet food products for sale: oils, vinegars, sauces, chutneys, coffee. You can sign up for classes and shop online. Please do not let the two negative reviews deter you-the cancellation policy is clearly stated. It's a small business and likely cannot recoup losses if people cancel less than 72 hours in advance. As for the gift certificate-there's a fairly new owner who telephoned everyone who had an outstanding gift certificate and gave a "use by" date that was very generous. The negative person must have missed the deadline.

To the person with the bad review, please check the policy before you give a bad review. It clearly states a 72 hr cancellation notice is needed. If you had tickets to a concert, show, etc and you got sick what are you going to do?

We went as our monthly event. The food was wonderful. Nadia Frigeri - our chef was very friendly and fun. She included everyone in each step. The owners of Kitchen Witch are very friendly. They have a nice selection of tools in their shop you can brouse during the break. We went away stuffed. It was also nice to see young married couples there.

I signed up for a cooking class at this location. An emergncy prevented me from participating in the class. I called 48 hours in advance and only wanted to reschedule the class. I was not asking for a refund. They refused and said that they would not help me and that I had to take a loss on the $55.00 class. The women was unwilling to help in any way! They will never get my business again. BEWARE!!!
