I worked with Peter Carlson at Kline Volvo to get a new S60. Peter was very attentive to my needs without being a pushy salesperson. The finance manager there was also very professional. We started over the phone, and I quickly sensed that Kline wanted to work with me and would be willing to negotiate. The price we worked out over the phone was better than others I'd heard. In store, there was more negotiation that brought down the price. Throughout the process, I never felt that Peter was spinning me. After the car was mine, he took a lot of time teaching me how to work its systems. Especially because I'm new to Volvo, that was a big help. I am very pleased with the car--and also with Peter Carlson. He's a classy car salesman.

Although I purchased my Volvo before moving to MN, Scott Muellner and Kline Volvo have treated me as though I've been a long-time customer since day one. They're service-oriented, honest, and never try to sell me services or repairs I don't need. The prices are competitive, too. I would recommend Kline Volvo to everyone!!

CON ARTISTS!! I have owned 3 Volvo's. I have always bought through Borton and had great service. I bought a C30 from Kline last summer. From the moment I walked through the door, it was one shady interaction after another. When I bought the car, I asked about the durability of the interior because I had never seen material like that before. I was told that it was "indestructible". Well, my indestructible upholstery started to stain and pill the first month. They just smiled and nodded each time I took it in. Since there is an extended warranty on the car, I assumed that they would replace it when the time came. Noooo. Now, I'm stuck with a car with defective upholstery that they won't warranty because they refused to document my claims during the warranty period. Go anywhere, or buy any other brand, but don't make the same costly mistake I did.

I experienced completely unacceptable and quite astounding sales tactics in late Nov 2010. You probably will want to bring someone with you (or bring a audio tape recorder). If you are car shopping by yourself, and have Kline Volvo test-drive your current car for a trade-in value, they may not return your car key to you (until you threaten to call 911 for police assistance). That's what happened to me. Incredible, really. I was discussing the purchase of a vehicle and had a bottom-line amount I would pay. They were not willing to accept my offer price and so I told them I was finished and I wanted to leave. I did not like the trade-in value they were offering on my current car. Bottom line: I asked at least 10 times for my car key back in about 20 minutes of negotiations. The Salesman would not give me my key back as he knew that as soon as I got my key I would leave without him making a sale. Sharing this experience as a warning to others: know that there are still dealers who employ such inappropriate sales tactics. If you have them test-drive your current car, ask for your key back. If upon repeated requests, you don't get your key back: tell them you will call 911 for the police's assistance to help you get your key (personal property) returned to you. Just mentioning that I would call 911 had the Salesman almost trip over himself running back to the General Manager to retrieve my key. Good luck.
