Do not take your children to this or any other branch of Kool Smiles. There should not be a place on earth that you can't monitor what is being done to your children. They put a nice playground in their lobby to put the parents at ease to lure more parents in with their kids! Also they called me after a few visits with my kids to tell me that the dentist no longer took their insurance and sorry about your luck but you have to go somewhere else which in the end if fine with me because this place is like a bad horror movie BUT they still call months later to find out why i have missed my appointments (which were never made) and why it's been so long since i have brought my children in for their cleanings. These people seriously need to get a clue :(

Like the previous reviewer mention, they will not allow you in to see what kind of service they are giving your child. Also, I made the mistake of showing up as a walk-in which resulted in me waiting 2 1/2 hour for a cleaning and flouride treament for my son. I decided to make a Saturday appointment for 9 am (their opening time). First, they opened the office 20 min late. Then, even though I had an appointment, it still took 2 hrs and 45 min. which ran over into another appointment for the eye doctor which happened to be next door. I have since requested his records so that I can take him to my dentist instead of Kool Smiles.

After having my child held down and face bruised- I will never go to any of these clinics ever again!! They will not let the parent or guardian back to even see what it is they are doing to your child! I have heard too many parents leave both the Smyrna and Decatur clinics with children that are mortified to even return for further treatment!!! I never even got to speak to the dentist that worked on my child- just the assistant. I would advise AGAINST taking your child to any Kool Smiles clinic unless they can let you come back and monitor what they are doing and how they are handling the behavior of your child.

I hunted for the best dentists for my 2 children and when I found kool smiles I was not sure because of the distance from my home but it turned out to be well worth the drive. they cater to the children like they are their own and I loved it.thanks kool smiles
