Went to have my daughter's car inspected. They initially recommended an oil change, which I declined. When they did the inspection, they failed it BECAUSE THE WINDSHIELD WIPER SQUEAKED! There was no functionality issue; there was no issue in the cleaning. The guy stated that was what his class taught him and that's what his computer said. Of course, they recommended buying their $20 wiper blade. I immediately took it down the street to another location station and passed with no issue at all. Imagine the money they pull in with this scam from people who take them at their word. It's shops like this that give mechanics a bad name!

I've taken my car to Kwik Kar on Independence for the past ten years and have never been disappointed with the outcome. The mechanics there are humble honest people who seem to want to provide the best service possible every time. I've gotten my car inspections, oil changes, allignment issues, glass windowshield fractures, and countless other car problems resolved there at an affordable price. My colleagues take their cars here now as well.

Caution: They put in the wrong oil and charged me over $70 for an oil change. Tried to explain this was wrong but they were adamant my car needed synthetic because it stated "SAE" on the oil cap. (SAE is a standards group that provides ratings all types of oil.) Sad but true they would staunchly argue such a position. You would think a manager of an oil change business would understand the main product they sell but they would not bulge. I went the extra mile and tried calling the number they gave for the owners several times and left messages but they never cared to return my call and the company would not offer any compensation. If you take your car to Kwik Kar please remember to ask for the price upfront. Remember Kwik Kars are independently owned and thus you cannot expect any consistency.
