I work out at 3232 Peatchtree Rd three to four times per week and have been doing so for the past six months if not longer. It's convenient because it's next to my job. That's the only good thing that I can say about this place. One thing that I have found on multiple occasions is that paper towel dispensers in the men's bathroom and the general workout area are often empty. Soap dispensers near the toilets are also empty. Soap dispensers in the showers are empty. This occurs often. This is unacceptable. I want to know who will pay for my medical bills when I contract a staph infection due to the unclean conditions at this particular club? Secondly, I want the problem to be addressed. Full paper towel and soap dispensers should be standard at all LA Fitness Locations. A clean and hygienic gym environment should also be provided. To me hygiene is not being taken seriously by staff and management at LA Fitness 3232 Peachtree Road NW #A Atlanta, GA 30305. It should be taken serious given the enormous amount of people that workout at this location daily.

So needing a gym in Atlanta, GA I hopped into LA Fitness since they had reasonable advertised pricing when compared to smaller gyms around Atl. Also with a Buckhead location it was only 1.7 mi from home. So I walked in and it seemed like your run of the mill franchise gym. Desk staff rotates every couple of months and trainers seem to do the same save a few. They also have your typical pushy service asking you to sign up for things you usually don't need (given that you are of avg body type). I'm no body builder nor am I obese or overweight, so none of the services were of any benefit to me. As far as the equipment its adequate enough to get by so long as its not crowded (usually from 5-8 weekdays). They have 4 flat benches, 2 incline benches and a decline bench. Their free weights range from 5 lbs to 110 lbs and there's at least 3 sets of each. Their free weight benches are scarce and sometimes it can be a challenge to find equipment to use. There's also 2 smith machines and 2 squat racks and 2 cable machines (altho periodically 1 cable machine seems as though it was mangled). As far as weight machinery there's a good selection with several machines for each muscle group but there's only one machine per exercise so expect to wait. The cardio equipment is well maintained and there's plenty machines if you're a runner, elliptical machine user, or stationary biker. There's also roughly 5-8 stair machines. Locker rooms are adequate to change in, but I'd just shower at home.

I recommend you HIGHLY consider if you are willing to drive around town to another LA Fitness if you sign up here. Not only is it unclean (mold on the water fountains), it smells, extremely humid and it is too hot to workout. BUT I could live with that if the management wasn't so horrid. The manager has zero customer service skills and is flat out rude. Corporate should be embarrassed of this place.

For being a Buckhead club, the equipment is old, often broken and there just are not enough machines to accomodate the number of people who go here. They NEED to remodel this location. The Akers Mill location is soooo much nicer and cleaner!

This gym is sub-par for LA Fitness gyms. The equipment is old, the place is just not very nice looking, and it's really a pain to fight traffic and get there. They need to renovate this gym or just build a new buckhead location.
