We called Ira based on the reviews we read on Kudzu and we very much appreciate the thoughtful reviewers' opinions, all of which were confirmed by our experience. Ira is very professional yet friendly, and he was able to give us great tips on how best to remodel our master bathroom at a reasonable cost. He is flexible and knowledgeable, and uses specialty subcontractors wisely. At every point he was willing to spend the time we required in planning and materials selection, and his work was meticulous. It is a real pleasure to see his craftsmanship. We loved how the worksite was always clean and neat at the end of the day, and our new bathroom far exceeded our expectations.

I couldn't be more thrilled with the work Ira did. Not only did he take the time to provide a quality product he corrected work done by a previous contractor at no charge. Ira truly cares about doing the job right, a trait not found in many contractors. I highly recommend Ira!

Everything about the process from our initial meeting to completion of our project was a pleasure. Dealing with contractors can and often is a nightmare. When you speak to Ira Lacey at your first meeting, you are talking to the guy who will do most of the work himself and bring only a trusted group of subs to paint, do electric work, etc. Ira built beautiful custom cabinets and bookcases as well as installed French doors on our office and upgraded our ceiling trim in several rooms. He gave us a schedule and actually stuck to it finishing on time!

Not sure how to undo this earlier posting. I have received a call back from Ira and we are now back on for the project. I will post again after the project is complete and feel confident I will be able to give a great review.

Ira, Chris, and his subcontractors did a beautiful job at my house. My main project was renovating my master bath, installing a built in desk, planning and installing my laundry room shelving. I couldn't be any more impressed and pleased. Ira is a spectacular and innovative craftsman who is dependable, honest, punctual, very reasonably priced, considerate, a genuinely nice person, and cleans up like he was never here. Being in the design industry for 16 years, I am familiar with contracting/remodeling horror stories. Ira and his workers are quality contractors, and made my project completely painless. I would definitely use his services again and highly recommend him to anyone! Jenny Burger CAD'signs LLC

We used Ira as our main carpenter for a recent renovation of a 1926 bungalow in the Peachtree Hills area. Simply put, I couldn't be happier as a client. He's dependable, creative, honest, and most of all, a darn talented woodworker. In all, he helped us build a new master closet, a new pantry, a new threshold for a rotten back door, and new vanity for our bathroom. In most cases, he guided us on design ideas from conception to creation, and made sure our needs were being met every step of the way.

We couldn't be happier with the work that Lacey Custom Carpentry did on our home. Ira went above and beyond to custom design our second floor up to every last little detail. Every aspect of the job was done right, and they warranty all of their work. Ira uses quality contractors, and we completely trusted them in our home. He kept us updated on everything he did, and he even came in at budget!! Ira was extremely professional and an absolute pleasure to work with. We wouldn't think about calling anyone else but Lacey Custom Carpentry in the future.

Lacey Custom Carpentry recently remodeled two bathrooms in our home and gave our rental property a face lift. In both instances, the work was top quality and reasonably priced. Lacey Custom Carpentry shows a dedication to making the customer happy -- something you definitely don't get with other contractors. I am certain we will call them for our next project...

Our 1920s brick/English cottage-style home needed repairs to eaves/soffit. At the same time, we wanted to add design detail. We're very pleased we found Ira Lacey for this project. He executed our concept with precision craftsmanship. We wanted a skilled, detail carpenter, and we found him! Ira and his crew were diligent, thorough, courteous and neat. Ira helped us from firming up our final design and quoting the job through final walkthrough and building inspection. Our home finally has the custom cohesive exterior it deserves. We love the results and would definitely recommend Lacey Custom Carpentry!

We had a number of places on our house that needed wood siding replaced and also suspected some underlying framing would also need to be replaced. Ira Lacey gave us an estimate based on what he could see and we agreed that any additional work would be appraised as needed. Ira and his assistant Keith were extremely conscientious about their work. When the siding was removed, Ira told us some of the framing would need relacing also. We agreed and all their work was done with great care. If they said they would be here at a certain and do certain things, they were here at that time and performed the tasks in a professional manner. We are very satisfied and will definitey call Lacey company again when we need their services.

No disappearing acts with this carpenter and his work is some of the finest quality I have ever seen. He is professional and clearly works hard to please his customers. I highly recommend him for any custom work you may have!
