Having had 2 children attend LMS I have had 2 different experiences - the first was not a great experience, the second definitely an improvement. I have heard of many improvements in the past few years with the change in administration.

I teach at Larkspur and I really enjoy the working environment. The staff are high quality people who really care about their students. Even though we are the largest middle school in Virginia, each grade is separated and isolated from the other so it is as though there are three schools in one. My children will go to this school and I am thrilled.

Our family friends boy goes there and before to long my kids will too. He has done extremely well and has been given the tools to move to high school. I have no doubts about his education or future.

I was very surprised at how well organized this school is for the size of the school. I was a little afraid to send my son there, but once he started all of my fears were gone. This school provides a great learning environment.
I have been very, very pleased with the level of education, the dedication of the athletics department, and the great friendships our child has fostered in this incredible learning institution. Dr. Cunningham and staff have imbued pride and respect throughout the student body.
Dr Cunningham and staff have the school running like a top. Pride of the staff and the students helps the school reach its academic, athletic, and social character goals - not force or fear. The honor program is very challenging and a great preparatory curriculum.
The pride of the Lions is honor. Each month students awarded for character traits. The staff really care about each student. Although a large school, there is still a sense of community among the staff. Students contribute by having spirit days in each grade level.
