I ate this restaurant at least 3-4 times a month at some point I ate there almost every day! I am a health freak but couldn't resist their carne asada it's so good so tender and grilled just right! Portions are SO BIG! you will not be able to finish your food!

I heard about this place through a co-worker. I will have to say everthing I have tried has been very good and fresh. I always take home at least a dozen tortillas which by the time I get home count about 10. Love the place.

This restaurant has been in El Cajon since before I moved here more that 20 years ago. It went through a bad patch (change of ownership or chef--I don't know--a few years ago) but it is once more the best mexican restaurants in El Cajon (and miles of surrounding area)--not as trendy as some but if you are looking for fresh ingredients and killer salsa, this is the place for you. A new place recently opened down the street on 1530 Jamacha Rd. called Albert's. Don't waste your money--or maybe, waste your money then go down the street to Las Parrillas and order a similar meal--you'll never go back to Albert's because their meals cost about the same and the quality is just not there.

This place is terrific! they are better than sombreros. They also offer seafood, and live music to boot during dinner times. Try them out for some good authentic mexican food. You wont regret it.

This place has really fresh Carne Asada. You can see that it is from thinly prepared steak and it has good flavoring. Their burritos and rolled taces are huge. Delicious fresh salsa bar. Best taco shop in Rancho SD.

I've never had better steak fajitas that I have here. It's a little pricey for a taco stand but it's also much higher quality. They also have a great salsa bar variety.

I used to eat at the Las Parrillas on Montwood but Ray and Kathys service went down hill there but the rate higher This location you get the same great food at lower prices I supose because the building lease is much lower The enchiladas, and fajitas are super, service great and meals run 1.25 to 2.00 lower than on MOntwood Great Food
