I was new to the area and decided to try this place because of its "award winning status". Worst medical decision I ever made!! Here they treat the test results not the person. Went without my medicine for 13 months because they would not submit a refill on a RX I had been on for years on a illness I was diagnosed with prior to them. They wanted to run the tests for themselves "to get more money" and wanted me to try other methods so that I would have to keep coming back to them monthly. This was a money pit! I was advised that they would run some tests, just to be sure, and that my insurance would cover it. However my insurance did not cover the labs because it wasn't billed correctly and the staff refused to re bill it correctly. I would pay my co pay every time I would go for a visit, however I would still receive a bill the next week advising I had a balance for unpaid copay. When I finally got smart and kept my copy, the office staff blamed it on having new office staff and that they don't have the payment in their system so I still had to repay the copay. Their entire practice is centered around making you come in so that you have to pay, so don't waste your time trying to get them to call in a RX without an office visit. You will be lucky if they call you back within 3days to request that u come in.

Called at 11am to make an appointment and was told to just walk in, no appointment was necessary, and ended up waiting for two hours to be seen. The PA then proceeded to practically harass me when I attempted to get a REFILL of my Adderall medication (which I had gotten the first time at that doctors office). Once I finally asked to see the doctor it was clear they had spoken and was treated with the same suspicion from him; both were incredibly rude and made no attempt to listen to my needs or have a conversation about what I should take that would make me feel better since the first medication gave me anxiety. I cannot believe medical professionals would treat their patients so disrespectfully.

Go to Yelp to read my full review on my experience....must be illegal what they did. Prescribing a med without knowledge to the patient and then refusing to admit their wrong is illegal. Now it is on my insurance, who paid over $100 for something I NEVER would have consented to taking. And they refuse to make it right.

Extremely long wait times; regardless of what time your appointment is (first thing in the morning or late in the day) expect to have an exorbitant wait time (1 hour+). The office staff is curt , if not rude, and the doctors over charge insurance and suggest unnecessary referrals. This place is definitely a "cattle call" style practice, and after several years as a patient, it has only continued to go down hill. There are too many other, better, physicians in the area to put up with this poor treatment.

No matter when you make your appointment, you will have to wait about an hour to see the doctor. This place is just an assembly line to get as many patients ($) in a day as possible. They are constantly double booked. You will be lucky if the doctor spends more than 5 minutes with you. They are too busy and are just looking to turn over the exam room. They mis-diagnosed my wife last year. Spend a few minutes and research what might be wrong instead of "Take two aspirin and call me in the morning". Good luck calling to get a refill or try and talk to someone. They may call back but most likely not. I have been going here for over 5 years mainly because they are close and they had Saturday hours. They got rid of the Saturday hours this year. After our last two experiences, it is time to look for a new practice.

We have been going there about 5 years now. They misdiagnosed my husband when he had 3 hernias, when my granddaughter had an infection they did not provide the proper dosage because while on vacaion in Florida she had to go to the emergency room because the infection had gotten so bad. And the straw that broke the camels back is when they told me I would have to come in for an office visit to get my prescription refill when for the last 5 yrs. I always got 3 refills on each medicine and they only gave me one. They just want your money there. We are going to get a new doctor ASAP. Never again!!

I selected this practice because of its proximity to my residence. What a mistake!! Call them for a prescription, you MAY get a call back. Good Luck!! If you DO get a call back, plan on having to make an office visit, AGAIN (even for a slight cold)! Try to make an appointment with as little as a 30 cents unpaid balance. HA!!! In the 5 years I've used this practice Dr. Sharpe has yet to even turn to look at me. Weird! Perhaps his name should be Dr. Posterior, because that's the only view I've gotten in half a decade. The nurse practitioners are very rude, and unsociable. The place is like a morgue!! I've tried very hard to give them a chance. 5 Years!! I can't take it anymore. I need another doctor!!

In addition to the extraordinary wait times (both in waiting and exam rooms), if you want to transfer to another practice don't expect to get your records transferred to another doctor's office because they will refuse to respond to file transfer requests unless you're willing to pay them $25 and fill out their personal form. We've been trying since January 2013 to get them to transfer our daughter's records to a new office, and every time a request form is sent to them they either claim they haven't received the request (faxed from the new doctor's office with confirmation received on their end) or that they disregard requests received via fax and that we need to come in and fill out their form and pay a $25 fee. We can't get our daughter scheduled for an annual well check without these records, so we're stuck between a rock and a hard place.

I have been a customer for over 10 years. I noticed poor customer service lately but I liked my Dr. Recently everytime I payed my co-pay there was always some bogus over due fee that I refused to pay. Today, they tried to charge me $5 in addition to my co-pay and I refused to pay the $5. The young lady who repeatedly said I am the biller and you need to know your insurance plan before coming in here. She said If you don't pay in full you will not see the doctor. They called two other women who was just as nasty and rude as the first. One of them walked up in my space and said you need to leave. I turned to her and said you make me. She responded "oh are going to hit me? If you do it is going to be bad for you" Did you just stepped towards me? I responded "are you really trying to provoke me?" I asked her to please move out of my space she refused saying this is a private business you need to leave. Please do not question them taking your money because they will all try to make it seem like you are a criminal. Oh by the way they made a fake 911 call trying to force me to leave. I will never patronise that office ever again.

Things have changed a lot around the office, however, after visiting again after my bad experience, I must say the staff was overly nice and very friendly. I am still upset that their office policies are so strict and somewhat ridiculous, however the staff is friendly and accommodating to your schedule. Dr. Forrester is probably the best doctor I have ever been to. So sweet and she really understands what you are going through good or bad.

I have gone to Lawrenceville Family Practice for a few years and they are okay but today I called to make an appt. because I am sick and they refused to let me come in until I paid a balance of $47.00. I tried to explain that I didn't get paid until the next day and they refused to see me. Needless to say I will take my business elsewhere and go to the dr. TODAY. Very poor customer service. I have paid all my bills there!

I made my appointment before I read the reviews on kudzu. My first visit I walked in with very low expectations. I'm glad I gave them a chance. I was in and out in a timely manner. The doctor and staff were very professional. I told them that their reviews are horrible and Michelle said they knew and they had worked and are working hard to change that.

They might get you into an examination room within a reasonable time but once you're in there the real wait begins ( and doesn't seem to end...). We're going on 45 minutes.

Well, looks like I have finally reached my limit with this doctor's office staff. They have been a point of disappointment for me for the many years I have taken my family to Lawrenceville Family Practice. I have been pleased with the doctors and PA's and have put up with the combative, surly, non-cooperative attitude of the staff for the sake of staying with the doctors and a couple of the PA's who are helpful and attentive. I will look around for another practice that chooses to employ a staff that is more pleasant and helpful. Overall, we liked the folks in the medical field, but can't abide by the attitude and disrespect from the office staff. (I have a friend that also independently mentioned the same problems with this group). Do yourself a favor and keep looking.
