We have a small ranch with a peak on our roof. When the salesman presented his quote and presentation he told us we would no longer need the diverters that were currentlly on our roof becasue of their system. This was particularly pleasing to me as I have always hated the look of the diverters and impacted our decision of this purchase. The gutters were installed while we were not home and they installed new diverters to our dismay. I questioned this and the installers said that they are still needed but they were taken down. Our gutters are almond and our roof is a brownish color so the diverters looked like clown feet on our house. As predicted, with the first heavy rain the water shot off the roof and over the gutter. I called leaf guard to discuss and suggested that maybe if the diverters were made in a brown color rather than almond it may help the appearance. They came the next day and did that in th brown. I still wish that I did not need them but they look better in brown.

We had an excellent experience with LeafGuard. They went above and beyond. We was not home when they installed the gutters and an outside contractor came to my house in an unmarked vehicle. The outside contractor wouldn't give the LeafGuard foreman his name or the name of the company that he worked for. The foreman notified the police about the other guy trespassing and looking in our windows. It ended up being our siding installer. We highly recommend them.

If you live in a snow area you should know these gutters cause major icicle build up on the front edge. I tried a couple of times to get LeafGuard to help with the problem but it is thrown back on me. They tell me not enough insulation in my attic, which was just insulated or heat trace my gutters. They will mention this during the sale but you have no real time to investigate. I wasn't even given the 3 business days to cancel. This may seem meaningless but these icicles are dangerous especially at entrance areas when the thaw and freeze temperature days happen. I am left to modify them on my own (additional cost). It wasn't a good buy for me after 37 years of regular gutters.

I like the way LeafGuard of Pittsburgh handles their crews. The pay is based per job versus an hourly wage and if they mess up and have to come back, it's on them. It gives them high incentive to do the job right the first time.
