I am on the board of an HOA, and I have to say that Legacy messed up our accounts so bad, that we cannot even figure out who paid and who did not 1 year after we ditched them. Also, they did not pay any of our bills for months, and contractors were getting upset at us. These things are the very basics of property management. Do not touch these guys with a ten foot pool. Also, I would like to point out how strange it is that there are only either 5 star or 1 star ratings on this website. My guess is that they create their own ratings or pay a resident to write one so that they can get a lot of 5's. I cannot imagine anyone saying anything good about them, except for their sales department. They do present very well, and promise you the moon for a reasonable price, but then so hello to mismanagement!

I've been having problems with Legacy Inv & Mgt ever since they began managing my HOA. I've had roofing problems that has only gotten worse over the past 2 years and I had to contact them over 8 times just for someone to return my call. Then they sent out one guy to assess the damage, only to leave me in limbo because he has to wait on Legacy's manager for authorization to make the repair. It has taken several voice messages and many days of follow-up just to get a response in most cases with this company. Now, its two years later and they have yet to fix the problems that they get paid to repair. They've proven to be very incompetent; and besides that, they just don't seem to care.

Thank you so much for researching my problems with getting the correct key to the storage room where my unit is housed. The key that you provided worked and I was able to identify my unit number. I will send in my form later today. I appreciate your hard work and going the extra mile to resolve issues as they arise. The Legacy Investment and Management team impresses me with every single interaction. Thank you!

This company supposedly value themselves on professionalism but their actions are far from that. You are always sent to a person voicemail and they never return phone calls, the service is awful and the bookkeeping is not intact. It took over 5 times in order for me to reach someone to discuss a bill that they claimed I didnt pay. The CEO threatened to revolt my parking permit and I had paid my HOA dues...he insisted that I didn't and was very rude to me even after I supplied him with the proof that was requested. Now I'm trying to get an additional parking permit for my reserved space and you got it...I can't reach anyone after 3 attempts. This is ridiculous and we pay too much for HOA fees to get this terrible service. Where are the customer service skills? After going through this, it makes me refuse to ever purchase a home with a HOA which unfortunately is difficult in this area for newer homes.

I am a resident at Hillcrest Town, Legacy is the worst management company we have ever dealt with and that is saying a lot. They rarely if ever return calls from homeowers. As a homeowner one should expect to be able to reach their management company for information or a status update. Unfortunaetly that was not my experience. I called numerous times and rarely if ever received a return call. I had to resort to contacting our Board memembers directly, which makes Legacy management company useless.

We have been dealing with Legacy Investment & Management since this summer to get them to do repairs to a leaky roof. Because of their delays in repairs extensive water damage resulted and caused bedroom ceiling to collapse. When I raised a complaint on 10 18 2011 their representative for Fairfax Village IX Sarah Santos refused to speak to me about the issue even though I am the condo owner. She was very unprofessional and rude. This company's customer service is terrible and they are negligent in taking care of my condo property. I would never recommend their services.

Wow. I spoke to the guy Steve that is here working. He is doing an amazing job. I'm sure he'll return tomorrow to finish. We can not BELIEVE he stacked those steps outside! 27 TOTAL!!!! By himself!!! He should have waited for some help, but he managed! And he did that after he did all the lights! He showed David and I what he found at the bridge. He wants to show his supervisor first, but he has a plan, and knows we would like to try to get into next year with the bridge. We told him a few things that can be trashed from the shed to make room, or he can keep (an old wheel barrow with a bit of rust and a flat tire, he said he can fix - so it is his if he wants it.) Throw away a piece of insulation and a piece of drywall and a length of PVC pipe. He took a picture of a sensor for 10837 that his supervisor will try to find to replace. Thanks for sending someone so fast. And big Thank You for a great guy like Steve. --Peggy

Hmmmm. very odd. No reviews for a very long time, and then all of a sudden one of my HOA board members posts a bad review, and then all of a sudden, we get 10 positive reviews in a row in a span of one month! Come on, Legacy! Stop writing your own reviews. Did you create your own division for that? I reiterate what my colleague said: Legacy is unethical and incompent, and they did not pay our bills for the 9 months we were with them. Do not go there with a 10 foot pole.

I reside in a community by the name of Cradlerock in Columbia, Md.; we have had multiple management companies since the community was built. None of them ever performed inspections on our units. We had homes that did not cut the grass, allowed their paint to fade, and even had mildew growing on their homes cause they didn't power wash it. I learned of Legacy's service b/c I received a violation - I had begun to say if no one else did why I should; and I have never been so happy to be in "violated". I called their office and learned that this is done 18 times per hooray!!!! I feel like now there is a chance for our community to look the way it should - .all thanks to a company IN property management that actually seems to MANAGE THE PROPERTY. AMAZING CONCEPT!!!!

I own a home in Bowie. I do not live in a Legacy managed community, but I received a recommendation from a colleague to call Legacy Building and Engineering Services when my air conditioning unit started to malfunction. I called yesterday morning, and explained that with the temperature being as high as it is in the DC area right now, and having small children, I really needed someone who could come out the same day and determine what the problem was. Mr. Webster took my information and had someone at my residence within 3 hours. The workman corrected my issue and I now can sit comfortably in my home again. Thanks to Legacy BES for a wonderful job, at a fair price. If this is how they treat clients who do not live in their managed communities, I imagine the service to their own clients is superb.

Good morning, Sorry for the delay in getting this posted; but I wanted to you to let you know how much it meant to me to have you in the presence of homeowners at IVC. Your presence made an impact on how and what happens when management personnel shows up. You were there and questions were answered. You interacted with them and made them feel as though you were part of the community and your interest in IVC would be the same as ours. We have never been treated with such professionalism and respect and the personal touch you provide along with the rest of your team is refreshing change in this industry. I hope more people can experience the Legacy difference, because we love it!!!!!

We went with Legacy for lots of reasons; they "wowed" us during their presentation and tour of the office. Unbelievable systems and controls, the technology they use and we have access to is for lack of a better word; impressive. With that said they have delivered above and beyond even what we had hoped for. Now truthfully, we said to ourselves that if this company could do half the things they promised we would be in excellent condition. One thing they didn't mention that we found out later speaks to what type of company this is. Legacy actually has a foundation called (of course) the "Legacy Foundation", which helps foster children and kids without fathers or family. In a world where mgmt. companies are always looking to nickel and dime you, this company gives and actually helps the communities and people they service. Sometimes you never know as with all their marketing they don't advertise this!!! But nevertheless it amazes me that a company can not only professionally impact a community but can warm the hearts and change the world of child just because they have a heart to do so. I WISH THERE WERE MORE COMPANIES LIKE LEGACY. Say what you want but I know we made the right business choice and people choice with this company!

Howard/Legacy Team, I keep forgetting to acknowledge the extended time Tosha and Curtis spent while distributing renewal parking passes for community. As you know I often stop by the clubhouse during this time to see if they or the homeowners needed anything. On June 15th, Tosha and Curtis did not wrap things up at clubhouse until 7:35 pm. I would like to express my appreciation for their dedicated service to our community. A.
