Ok, this is by no means the best Mexican food I've ever had, but there were certain aspects of our experience at Lime that are worth a return trip. Others, not so much. I'll highlight both. First of all, the drinks were spot-on. Can't go wrong with margaritas & sangria. They have a nice selection of tacos & a cool deal where you can pick 3 tacos for $12. The quality & freshness of the taco ingredients were excellent. Between the two of us, we ordered the shrimp taco, chorizo taco, fish taco, barbarcoa taco, & chicken tacos. They were each exploding with flavor and neither of us were disappointed with any of them. What we were disappointed with, however, was the salsa. Their salsa tastes & looks like it is straight out of a jar (and not a very good jar, at that). The salsa was overwhelmingly tomato saucey with enormous chunks of canned tomatoes impeding your chip dipping technique. It was sad. Also, beware of the queso flameado. Advertised on the menu as lobster queso, one pictures the typical rich creaminess of a white queso with chunks of lobster meat in it. Wrong. We were served a hunk of solid mozzarella cheese with chunks of lobster in it. Translation: the fillings of a lobster quesadilla that had sat under the heat lamp too long. It was not able to be dipped into with a chip and it was not very good at all, even if they had served it inside a quesadilla. Negatives aside, I would definitely go back for more insanely delicious tacos & drinks.
