In my first appointment with Dr Lord I had a feeling he knew what my diagnosis was but wanted to reserve giving me the diagnosis until further tests were completed. I do understand that. However, a colonoscopy and endoscopy were performed (at about 1500 dollars out of pocket) and he had his nurse call me with the diagnosis. After paying for an office visit and an expensive procedure, he couldn't even call me with a diagnosis! She was told to prescribe a medication that cost 300 dollars a month and is not in my insurance plan. I asked her several questions (i.e., what my options were) and she was unable to provide answers. I asked if Dr Lord could please speak to me about my diagnosis and my options and the answer was that I would have to make an appointment. I have never had a doctor that had nurses deliver the diagnosis and then not follow up after a procedure when the patient has questions. I now have a diagnosis that I don't understand and NO TREATMENT PLAN. And Dr Lord seems fine with that. I am incredibly dissatisfied - clearly he cares more about the almighty dollar than he does about his patients.

I felt very uncomfortable when I went for my first visit with Dr Lord. He didn't listen to me and became patronizing and just plain rude. Never went back to get my endoscopy done with him because I didn't trust he had my best interests at heart.

Dr. Lord is an extremely caring doctor that treats his patients with respect and concern. He has performed a number of procedures including endoscopy and colonoscopy. I have found him to be extremely competent and I will use him again.

This Dr. has adequate skills I suppose, but was extremely rude and unfriendly before he performed a serious procedure using anesthesia. I think it is reasonable to conclude that most people have some trepidation before a procedure requiring sedation, and a little friendliness and reassurance goes a long way. Additionally, there was no follow up call from him or anyone in his office as promised. I would not recommend this doctor.

Great physician. Very good communicator and goes out of his way to help you. The staff isn't always warm and fuzzy, and the office locks the doors at noon which is sometimes a nuisance, but Dr. Lord is worth it.
