Nick, Jim, and crew did an exceptional job with my backyard renovation project. When I bought my house, it looked like the previous owner had built a backyard 20 years ago then never kept it up. The demolition of it alone I figured would have been a nightmare. Nick came out, gave me a fair price, and worked within my budget. His team cleared the backyard in a day, layed new irrigation, and worked with us on how much grass, rock, and foliage we wanted in the yard. We wound up with a beautiful yard for my son to play in, it's been two months and the grass is extremely healthy, so much so it requires a bi-weekly mow, and we're beginning to grow our garden. Their work was great, their brickwork, grass selection, irrigation planning, and tree selection helped us turn a really bad backyard into a place we want to go and have some fun in. Thanks guys!!

We have had Jim fix two different problems that we found when we moved into our new home. Both repairs were done and the service was great. We're having them come back to trim our trees.

Really appreciative that Jim of Lucky was able to come out to fix my error. But for the length of time he was here and the amount of work and the actual cost of the part used it would have been cool for him to have cut the price way down. I realize his time is money but that's not really an excuse. I'll probably not call him again. He was polite and timely and professional all great qualities in a contractor but sticking us with a full service call fee was not very professional.

I appreciate the kind words, but in a service related business, this service call is a flat fee no matter how long the repair takes. This is what covers our overhead, operating expenses, insurance, wear and tear on the vehicle, etc. Any reputable company will need these fees just to basically break even. A $ 65.00 service fee is not unreasonable in todays business environment with rhe costs of doing business going up every day. We have kept these fees the same for 2 years due to the state of the economy. We also make every effort possible to state all fees upfront before any appointment is set. Hope this helps to understand how we do business.
Unreliable: Didn't show up for months starting Nov 2011. Expensive: $365 for winter seed Untrustworthy: Acknowledged not servicing the yard then Nicholas Collentro refused to uphold the reconciliation agreement and didn't show up for another 4 weeks and then only once. Dishonorable: Nicholas A. Collentro has hundreds of dollars that he didn't earn and refuses to refund. A broken sprinkler head after abandoning the service in early March cost over $200, disgruntled tenants, and many photos of an overgrown yard. Thumbs down.

This was a very Unfortunite situation, we have since resolved this issue with the customer. and refunded the amount owed to her.
I called to make an appointment for an estimate on a front yard redesign. They had to schedule this appointment a week out. When the day of the appointment arrived my husband and I were both home and waited 20 minutes past the time they scheduled to meet us. We finally called and received their answering machine. We left a message which was returned by Valerie about five minutes later. She said the estimator had gotten stuck finishing a job and would not be able to make our scheduled appointment. She said they would need to reschedule this appointment but it would be another week because all appointments to do estimates had been booked for this week. Needless to say my husband and I were not happy with the response and we will not reschedule this appointment. Waiting a week to get an estimate and then being forgotten about makes us wonder what kind of commitment and response they would have to any project we may start with them.

Called and spoke to someone to request an estimate. They mentioned that someone else would stop by to look at the existing landscaping. That was last week, no further communication of any kind. This seems typical for Arizona, for some reason. With that kind of attention, I wonder what the service is actually like.

I had severe problems with my irrigation system with large flooded areas and dying plants. Having done my own repairs to my irrigation lines before, I knew repairing leaks can be a tough, time-consuming job for an amateur like me. I checked Kudzu, read the great reviews on Jim's Irrigation/Lucky Lawn Care and contacted him. In a matter of a couple of hours, he not only repaired the leaks that I spotted but also two others that I missed. I can't say enough about the expert service, reasonable repair cost and professional treatment that I received. Don't waste your time trying to tackling these kind of repairs yourself. Hire Jim's Irrigation/Lucky Lawn Care to do the job right!

I was in desparate need of a new timer box for my system and emailed Jim at Lucky Lawn Care for help. He called me and left a message as well as followed up via email. We coordinated a time at my convenience for him to come out and provide an estimate. He arrived promptly, provided an estimate and performed the work all in the same day. He also came back the next day to do some additional work repairing some torn up pavers for me. This has been a great experience and I will definitely be contacting them in the future for all my lawn care needs. Thanks Jim, much appreciated!

Jim was able to come out on a Saturday shortly after I called him. He was a little late but called to let me know, so no harm done. :) He assessed the problem quickly, did the repair effortlessly, and spent time with me inspecting the rest of the system and making suggestions so I could save on my water bill. He even programmed our system and explained everything he was doing. I would and will us Jim again in a heartbeat!

I recently switched to Lucky Lawn Care after much research and a dismal experience with another maintenance company. Enter, Nick. One of the hardest working, most dedicated service professionals I have met. I really admire how much he cares about his work and delivering a great value. Almost immediately, he had our yard turned around and looking great. He does such a good job my 2 neighbors have retained him as well. He's gained our trust and delivered on his promises. Simple as that.

Called Jim's for an estimate and the next day he was out and explained what was wrong with the system and what should be done to up-grade it. The next day 2 employees arrived on time and repaired and revamped my system for better watering at less cost. After the job was completed they took the time to explain it all and showed me how to set the timer for the best reults. The next day my wife noticed that we had some excessive overspray so I called the company and that afternoon the owners son arrived and adjusted all the sprinkler heads to eliminate the overspray. Both my wife and I are very pleased with the work that this company did and the cost to us. If you have a problem or want to upgrade we would recommend Jim's.

I had Nick and his crew out to remove a lot of Bouganvilla from my yard and plant new bushes. He updated my drip irrigation and added some lines to new trees. He pruned my existing vegetation and cleaned up my pretty messy front and rear yards. The whole group worked steadily from the time they arrived till the job was done - in 110 degree heat. I wish I was that young and motivated again! I recommend Lucky Lawn Care for special projects and routine maintenance. They're reliable, knowledgable, and competent. I would hire them again.

Jim did a lot of irrigation work for us on our new home last year. He was excellent in helping us to obtain our dream front and backyard! We are the only ones on the block with green grass year round! I strongly recommend Jim's Irrigation, great pricing, and quick installation!

I used Lucky Lawn Care for quite some time- I even had them redo my yard (remove the grass, put it rock and plants). Nick is a nice guy who seemed to get the job done but after he finished my yard, his maintenance quality declined significantly. I fired him and started using another company and that's when I discovered the level of laziness of Lucky Lawn Care. My drip system is a MESS that has caused multiple problems and cost me extra $ in water because he didn't take the time or properly cap things off and distribute lines to the new plants. He didn't even put heads on the lines. He also neglected to use enough soil (or any!) when planting new things and dug such shallow holes that the roots were above the rocks and the plants were dying. The rock he laid was not evenly distributed- some areas are barely covered, others are 6" deep! As for maintenance, he stopped being thorough with weeding, cutting dead fronds, removing suckers, and checking the drip system. Nick is a nice guy, but I recommend you find someone else for your landscape needs.

After looking into my records and finding the project, that was completed 2+ years ago, i found that the reason for the maintenance not being up to par is because at the she was 3-4 months behind on payment and she had a suspend notice. her yard was not being serviced for two months, after recieving the payment we started back service and had the same problem, she was on our list to be terminated due to bounced checks and late payments. As far as the leaks, i was never notifed of any problems, amd landscape was installed per customers liking. we performed maintenance for 1 year after landscape was installed, with no problems to plantings. All landscape come with warrenty, as writen on invoices. Thank
