On our Shih Tzu's (Stormy) second trip to Lynda, she shaved his right upper hind leg too close, causing an abrasion. She didn't mention it. We didn't notice it right away, and Stormy began scratching and biting at it, opening up a wound (see photo) that required two trips to the vet. We're still waiting for it to heal after two-and-a-half weeks. Sorry, but we won't be returning to Lynda.

After much research, I decided to take my dogs to Lynda Cottrell. In past grooming experiences, my small rescue dogs return to me completely stressed from spending an average of five hours at the salon. As such, they experience very sick stomachs. Many times following a grooming session, I notice minor ear nicks or tiny cuts that were not mentioned. My experience with Lynda was a world different. Upon pick-up, my two clean dogs looked completely adorable. They were with Lynda just under three hours and were calm and happy. Although somewhere around the ages of 11, Lynda had them looking like puppies. They were filled with energy and showed no signs of stress. My family is extremely pleased with Lynda's care and expertise. The dogs will absolutely be returning to the small salon she created in her home garage. Lynda only accepts small dogs and said my 27-pounder was about as big as she takes. Should you decide to go, please tell her that Pumpkin and Hope sent you!

Lynda is a Certified Master Groomer that has been grooming my two dogs for a couple of years. I have Cavalier King Charles Spaniels who do not get brushed regularly and therefore get wicked knots in their coats. Lynda's business is unique in that instead of dropping them off whenever at a pet salon, I call up for an appointment (usually within a week) and drop the dogs off then. She also tells me when to pick them up - a few hours later for my two dogs and she is amazingly always finished at the given time or a few minutes after. She charges about $65 each for bathing/clipping my dogs, which is similar to the cost that I paid a few years ago at the PetCo for a very so-so result.
