Working with MJ Test Prep greatly improved my SAT/ACT scores, and I would highly recommend their program to everyone. Matt also reviewed my college essays, which was a huge help. If you want to improve your scores and your college application, then you should certainly use MJ Test Prep.

My experience with Matt Joseph was great. In terms of results, my score increased over 200 points (from an 1890 to a 2100. But the most important thing to take from the experience is that you get what you put into the program. Matt Joseph's a tutor, not a magician. He gives you a lot of homework to prepare you for all of the possible types of problems, especially on the math and the writing sections. This homework takes time, but if you do a good honest job, you can succeed. Personally, I found Matt to be a very genuine guy, and I looked forward to meeting with him once a week and seeing my scores rise. He only wants the best for each of his students. So I recommend his program for anyone trying to open collegiate doors.

As a student myself, Matt was the best tutor that I have ever had. the entire staff at MJ is so helpful. I can honestly say that without Matt guiding me through, I would not have the great score I have now. MJ Test prep gave me 300 points on my 1600 scale. It was a lot of work but the only way anyone will ever get better is by doing a lot of work. Matt and the teachers at MJ test prep are simply the best and I am glad I entrusted my sat preparation to them.

Matt Joseph worked with two of our children, and a third will begin next year. Our sons are very different in learning styles and comfort with test taking, and Matt's greatest skill is his ability to individualize the learning for each student. He maximized on their strengths and accommodated areas they needed to build skills. Matt's approach and experience is grounded in academic research, but his personal style and rapport with our kids motivated them to do the preparation necessary to perform well on standardized tests. They enjoyed the time with him, and see Matt as a mentor and ally in the college process. As a parent, I found Matt unfailingly responsive and generous with any and all college related questions. The experience was a resounding success; the kids both did great on SAT's and SAT II's, and achieved National Merit status, and somehow had fun in the process

Going into MJ test prep I had a high GPA, a plethora of extra-circulars, and an SAT that dragged me down. By spending 10 weeks with a personal "tutor" I was able to raise my SAT score 280 points, with about a 90 point jump in each math, verbal, and writing. MJ test prep gave me a lot of work, but I certainly had the perseverance and drive to get it done, which paid off in the end. MJ Test Prep is both a fun place to be around and a great way to achieve your test scores. Even though I think the SAT is a little bit cheap in itself by only testing L-Directed (left-brain) thinking, it helps to stick with the other kids who are getting high scores around the country. Even though I am done with SAT prep, I hope to be able to pop into MJ Test Prep every once in a while to say hello and reunite with the community.

We have used MJ Test Prep and Matt Joseph for both of our daughters who are quite different in their learning styles. We came to Matt after a pretty awful experience with another prep coach for my oldest daughter. Matt has been superb with both of the girls; their scores were boosted, but more importantly, their confidence. He has humored them through the sometimes arduous process, worked with them in a direct and honest fashion and provides immense support all along the way and personally invests himself in their success. Matt tailors his approach to each student working only on the areas of need. Not only has he helped with their standard test performance, but I credit Matt with helping to make them better students. No doubt, all good tutoring is expensive. However, I have always found Matt and his staff interested in finding ways to minimize our costs and very flexible with the scheduling when a urgency exists. Thank you MJ Test Prep!

We have used Matt for all three of our children and we could not possibly be more satisfied. It isn't cheap, but considering what college costs today, it isn't unreasonable either. Matt's program provides structure and proven techniques for exam preparation that are not obtainable from study books alone. Among our three children we have had dozens of sessions with the tutors at MJ TestPrep and we never experienced a "bait and switch" or any other problem. On the contrary, the office has always been incredibly accomodative to any scheduling problems. As they say, "the proof is in the pudding," and with the results our children achieved on the SATs, ACTs and SATIIs, the benefits of Matt and his staff at MJ TestPrep are incontrovertible.

While researching SAT prep programs, I was very careful to find one that would accomodate our budget, schedule and most of all help our son get ready for his upcoming SAT's. What I found MJ Test prep to be good at is promising one price and giving another, constantly changing the tutor that my son was working with and in the end trying to stick me with an "interim" tutor to get us through since the other tutors had left. No advance warning was ever given to us and my son who has worked hard and is taking the preparation very seriously will now be switching over to Kaplan. In the end I wound up paying much more, but my son will be with a professional organization. Never in a million years would I have suspected that this place would do this to us! Money is their main motivation. It begins and ends with this. I am forced to give them one star, but even that is too generous for me!
