They charged my grandmother $200 (with a "senior discount" of $100 "knocked off the price")for screwing her cold water knob back in. Claimed the price was that high because it was stripped. The plumber then proceeded to say her water pressure was too high and he needed to rip the tile up to fix it. Complete con-artists and rip people (especially seniors)off.

Had a hot water tank problem, the service person came out and glanced at the hot water heater and said it needed heating elements replaced. Didn't even look at them, I asked how he knew that without looking at it and he said "12 yrs. of experience" and charged the $45 service fee. Had another plumber come out and look and he showed me where the wire connections were completely burned up, didn't have anything to do with the heating elements. "Moms" also was not willing to talk/work with the manufacturer about the warrently (which was still valid). Wanted to charge ~$400, out of my pocket, the other plumber worked with the manufacturer and got a new heater under warranty, only charged installation fee. WILL NEVER USE OR RECCOMEND MOMS to ANYONE!

I had a leak in one of my toilets. Repairman came out and was in my house less than 10 minutes to replace the water supply line. The charge was $210. A bit high, I believe. They fooled me once, but never again. Beware of Mom's.

Unfortunately for me both of my water pipes to my washing machine bust over the weekend after the long freeze that we had. I was able to have my hot water pipe capped, but the cold water pipe was busted in 3 different places. A technician came out and charged me $342.46 just to fix the ONE pipe that was currently spewing water. As I type this, I still need someone to come out to fix my hot water pipe. But guess what? I DON'T HAVE ANYMORE FREAKIN' MONEY LEFT TO PAY ANYONE !!! What a rip-off! Then the technician had the nerve to call me back with an attitude. I wonder if he has any children. It has been 5 days and I still am unable to wash any clothes. I tell you NOTHING good is going to come to this company. They should change the name on the truck to "Mom's RIP-OFF Plumbing". I advise anybody who experiences any plumbing problems or any other problems to look them up on the internet first.

I had a water heater issue. Before even opening the thing the service guy(used loosely) tried to sell me a new one. Granted it is old, but if that is your attitude get out of the SERVICE industry and go sell used cars! Then he tried to tell me that dip tubes were made of waste products and it would just go bad again and that they could not warranty any parts or labor on a water heater that was so old. As a former paralegal I know this to be crap. Any contract agreed to between 2 parties can and must be honored and to not stand behind your work is just pure crap, and another cheap lousily sales tactic! On top of all that he kept the 9v battery he asked for to run his little tester. I'm sure they will know who I am, but I carry protection so I will not be fearful or silenced. Harding plumbing did not try these tactics, said they could easily repair the problem or sell me a new water heater, which they did for half what the other bozos would have charged I am sure. Because they started out that way and tried to scam me however; they never got the chance. STAY AWAY from these unscrupulous salesmen and not service orientated people.

We had used this company a few years ago for a repair to our water heater on Christmas Eve. They arrived very promptly ready to either fix the existing (which was only a couple of years old) or replace it. They fixed the problem promptly, were clean and reasonably priced for a repair on a holiday after 9-5 hours. Our current experience has been a true disappointment. I spoke with the office staff and explained exactly what my needs were. I asked for an estimate as to the cost for a simple swap out and they were reticent to give it to me. When I pushed I was told they didn't think it would be more than $120/toilet barring any significant issues encountered. They told me about a service call fee of $48.50 which when I asked they said they would waive if we did the 3 toilets that day with the tech there. The price was more than Lowe's was asking for at $104 and install but I "knew" this company and their work so a slight premium seemed quite reasonable to me. When they got here the plumber quoted me over $900!!!! When I said forget it he went outside and came back in telling me oh the manager thought that they were supplying the toilets as well so now it would only be $550 - still well over the $120 ($360) quoted. We turned them away. Not the way to do biz - honor the price quoted. My word of mouth in my gated community would have been well worth it. I am guessing that's why the price went up though...they thought they could charge more based on our home :(

I had to pay $48.50 just to get a technician to look at my problem. He walked in the bathroom to look at my shower to determine why the shower does not come on. Within seconds he told me my problem with out even touching a thing. He told me I would have to get a carpenter out to the house to remove the drywall in the adjacent bathroom so he could access the back of the plumbing. Also, his quote was for $450 to make the repairs. I questioned him on why it was so expensive and then found out he was replacing all of my hardware with high end hardware when hardware wasn't even part of the problem. I told him I didn't want the hardware so he brought the price down to $350 after looking at some sort of pricing guide. I told him it was too expensive and I paid my $48.50. Then I bought a Home Depot repair book on Amazon for $5.50 and ended up repairing it myself in about 10 minutes and a $7.90 part from Home Depot. Their slogan is, "Your trusted family plumber." Really these guys are just lousy crooks. When I explained my story to the manager he made up some excuse and said he couldn't give me a refund for my $48.50 because the tech was already done with my quote. Here's a tip, don't ever use a service that doesn't offer free quotes.
