Dr. Madden operated on our dog, Peach, at AVS. We repeatedly requested to speak to Dr. Madden on the day of Peach's surgery and after Peach's death at AVS, and she never responded to us, in person, by fax, or by phone. In fact, we never saw her. I have had companion animals as family members for my entire life, and I have never encountered a veterinarian who would have no contact with me after a surgical procedure and refused to answer any questions. In my opinion, this exemplifies the epitome of unprofessional and uncaring behavior. Imagine taking your child in for surgery, and the surgeon not speaking to you or even seeing you after the surgical procedure was concluded. Please see my separate review for AVS aka Affiliated Veterinary Specialists, for more information. Lastly, in looking at the other reviews under Dr. Madden's name, it is evident that they are posted in an effort to boost her "rating." This particular review that I have written is for Dr. Madden alone....not for AVS, not for Marika Laszlo, not for Alistair Chapnick. If you look at the other reviews for Dr. Madden, Dr. Madden's name is not mentioned once. I was present in a deposition in which Dr. Madden admitted that in all other facilities in which she was employed, surgical notes were required and done. There were no surgical notes for Peach's surgery, at which Dr. Madden was the surgeon in charge of Peach's care.
