I've eaten here many times because of it's close proximity to my home, and it's good, small, but good. Everytime I've eaten here, the food, service and feel of the place has been just an average Italian Restaurant.

I have been going to Mamma Rosa's for about 7 years now. It is by far my favorite Italian restaurant for Chicken Fettucine Alfredo. They have the most reasonable lunch prices. They range from $5 to $7 and are good portions. Everything is made from scratch and you can taste it in every bite. However, in my experience the best time to go is during lunch. That is when they are the busiest and they have the most efficient employees working. The lead waitress Carol is very very good. She is friendly and has been working there for over 10 years. When I go at diner it is not the same quality service and food. For some reason they employees that work at night just don't try as hard. It is still good, but the lunch time is excellent.

Mamma Rosas is a small Italian restaurant in El Cajon tucked away in a shopping center. Its food is great and its patrons are loyal. If you like authentic Italian food, you'll love Mamma Rosas. Their food is homemade and delicious. Their lunch specials are very reasonable. This is not a fancy, upscale restaurant. It's a family restaurant. If you like a variety of items, try the Family Meal for Dinner. It comes with Spaghetti and Meatballs, Lasagna, Raviolis, Pizza, Anti-Pasta Salad and Garlic Bread. It's the BEST!

The best pizza in town. Excellent dinners. The Chicken Piccata is to die for. Their only real downside is that the dining area is small and rather cramped.
