My doctor referred me to Dr. Mani for abdominal pain whose cause could not be determined after an MRI and ultrasound. He came into the examining room, pressed on the very tender spot, and I cried out. It brought tears to my eyes. "You and your doctor are wasting my time," he said, this is just gas and you are hysterical." He walked out without another word. The nurse handed me 2 prescriptions. The Walgreen's pharmacist refused to fill them together, because they were 2 different tranquilizing drugs that would have put me on the floor, if not killed me. I took neither. Another doctor, a week later, determined that I had shingles which were not appearing on the outside, gave me Valtrex, and the pain I'd had for 2 months disappeared. I never took action against Dr. Mani, but I should have. Beware!
