I requested a vacation stop and restart on my paper. After coming in late Sat. night, I was looking forward to a lazy, rainy Sunday morning with my paper. NO PAPER. I called the subscriber line and took the option to speak to a rep, which was as an option until 10 AM, but when I hit zero, I was thrown back into the same loop, starting over with the mechanical greeting. Finally, at 9:58, the auto greeting changed, saying I had to call on Mon. So, obviously someone was there, BUT NOT DOING THEIR JOB. I am done with the MDJ as of today due to their lack of customer service. Besides, their coverage of local and college sports sucks. If you are not Lassiter or Pope, don't expect your school to get its fair share of coverage. Obviously the sports editor has kids that go to those schools. As for the new Lacrosse team at KSU, that coverage stopped after the first game. Tell me MDJ, is it because they were women or because you have NO CLUE what the sport is.

Sadly, the MDJ was once a superior newspaper in Cobb county, a responsible member of the community which reflected the values of the community. This is not the case anymore. The MDJ grants space to extreme fringe political views, while at other times seemingly attempts to satisfy any and all elements of the community, something that is impossible to accomplish. Suggestions from readers for improvement go unanswered. Any business that does not listen to its customers will ultimately go out of business. I joined many others and canceled my subscription to the MDJ.
