I took my '83 Toyota Cressida to this place back in June of '04. First of all, they misled me to believe that I was getting a really good deal on a complete air conditioner repair, complete with conversion from R12 to R134a. Nope! That's not what I got! They didn't do a thing except maybe possibly put R134a refrigerant in the old R12 system, which no wonder that after only an hour and a half it was empty again and the condensor had sprung a leak! Boo-hiss!! I then went ahead and did the repair myself, using ES-12a, which is legal and safe in the U.S., and requires no conversion at all. The moral? Sometimes you just can't trust anyone but yourself, if you want a job done right!
