No air for four days during the hottest weekend we can remember in ATL. We called Metro Air based on the many reviews. Scott promised to try and fit us in on Monday, and personally came from his house at 8:00 pm after the original plans fell through. He had us back in the cool air within his 30 minute stay. We expected a large bill because of the quick turn-around -- he came out 3 days after we called when other places quoted 3 weeks. We didn't get the last minute $$ bill, or the "it's so hot" over-billing. It was a normal rate and not over-priced. He knew exactly what was wrong with our system within minutes and was fixing it as we talked. I was concerned it was broke and we needed new parts - he did his tune up and we had cool air. All I can say is show him where the A/C unit is and he is off and running.... Best guy ever and hope to use him if we need a tune-up in the future.

I found Metro on this website and scheduled Steve in November 2007 to service our systems. This spring I scheduled him in early May to check out our ac. He did not show and did not call. I forgot to follow up because of other responsibilities, then Friday, June 6, I realized one system in the house was not cooling. I called Steve before trying anyone else. He apologized for missing the May appt and offered to come on Sunday to take care of the problem. He asked that I call him on Sunday to remind him. I tried several times but could only reach his voice mail which would not allow me to leave a message. Fool me twice, shame on me for giving him a second try.

Well she must have left this minutes before I called her. I called to come out sun. around 7:30 pm and she scheduled me for monday afternoon. We had no time set on sunday. She called fri. somewhere in the 6 pm range. Maybe I should not have answered since we close at 5pm. Anyways i originally wanted to come in the am but she had church. Mon we arrived at 2:30 pm and corrected her problem. Not bad turn around considering the heat.The missed appt. was for routine maint, and would have had no affect on her capacitor failing. In summary, I did what i said i would this time and I'm wondering why I received this bad review. Mrs, K you have lost a good company... Good Luck
Steve was great. He installed a new AC unit for me on 4/30/08, and it's been keeping us cool ever since. He undercut our first (big name ATL company) quote by 1000 dollars. Steve was very knowledgeable and clearly took a lot of pride in his work. Good work for a fair price--highly recommended. He will exceed your expectations!

Having fired my last company because they could not make it to my house for a first appointment in a 9-12 window until 10:00 (Twice!), I was thrilled that Steve arrived on time in a 30 minute window and proformed the tuneup quickly and professionally.

Steve is honest (per my experience), straight forward and doesn't waste time. Gets to business and he moves as if he is on steroids ;o). which does save you money because he did the job in 15 mins that big name company did in 45 mins and spent 30 mins BS'ing about how to take care of the system and pulling 10 brochures to sell stuff, so figure that in while thinking of calling the big name techs.

Wouldn't you know it as soon as its gets hot this year the compressor grounded on my 20 year old ac unit. I made a call to Steve after shopping several local companies and his service and price was even better than expected. I highly recommend Steve and Metro for your next heating and air need!!!! Thanks Steve you are the best!!!

I called Metro when my 21 year old airconditioner kept going on and going off or would just blow air. Unfortunately, I was out of their normal service area. I thanked them and tried several other companies with long waits to be seen. Then Steve called back to say he would be at a call about 7 -10 miles away and could fit me into to the schedule the next day. He called the next day to let me know he was running a little late but would be there. When he arrived he completely checked the system fixed multiple problems and even replaced the thermostat upstairs. He is friendly and effecient. The fee was slightly less than I had estimated for the repair so I consider this a very affordable service considering all the time and repairs he did to my air system. I will definetly be using Metro Heating & Air again.

Steve is nice but he sent two guys out to install a new system for us that did a sloppy job. When the weather out cold the heat would not work. When Steve came out to repair some of their mistakes he pointed out other mistakes and said he would be out another day to repair those. That was months ago. He made one appointment and failed to show. Now that the weather is warm the A/C stopped working. Said he would come Friday then changed to Saturday, now it is 3pm on Saturday and he has not returned my call. The repairs needed have nothing to do with the system and all to do with bad installation.

Quick, professional, and courteous. Steve was running late and he called me twice to let me know. Very impressive. He showed up, quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it. Great price too. He left me with the impression that this is a guy you can trust. I'd recommend him to anyone.

Before my review, a note to "Cactus". The world is not a perfect place, so give up! Did you read all of these reviews? (and compare with other vendors?) My personal experience with Steve was that he is extremely dedicated, competent, and has great communication skills. He rushed over on the COLDEST day, and promptly fixed my problem. I will never use anyone else because he is also trustworthy and fairly priced.

Steve scheduled an appointment with me for 1-1:30 pm, Thursday, March 20. He did not show up. I called him 4 times and there was no answer. Finally, he called around 4:00 pm to reschedule. At that time, I informed him that I don't do business with anyone who doesn't respect their customers enough to make a courtesy call to say they are running 3-4 hours late.

Well what can I say? I was in a crawl space, was having a tough time, and lost track of time. I suppose my phone lost its signal, it does underneath some houses. I called when I was finished not to re-schedule but to head his way. He was tough, had no understanding, and told me exactly what he wrote. Sorry, I tried, but I'm only human. Guess I wasn't the only one having a bad day....
The furnace quite of a Sunday (Of course!). Called Metro, and Steve was at my door in less than hour. He was spot-on with the diagnosis, and had it fixed in less than ten minutes. Then he saw another issue and fixed that for nothing. I've found my HVAC tech!

Metro H & A is the best as far as I'm concerned. He came out to fix my heater and not only that, he changed a filter that I never knew exsisted. Now my return actually sucks in air. Woohoo! Thanks Steve!
