One of the easiest ways to take advantage of an average woman is with auto repairs...that's where I was headed before finding Metro Transmission. My first trip was to a Ford dealership who was sympathetic about my "just expired" long term warranty and treated me like a number. My second trip was to a very known "self appointed" transmission specialists. Here after "supposedly" 2 transmission diagnostics tests and a couple of road tests, I was told quote: "it's the worse case scenario" you need a new transmission. After finding Metro (through a printed advertisement in the local PennySaver), I knew I could not go wrong from the moment I explained my situation to Eric, over the phone. He explained things in a way I could understand and offered an appointment for the same afternoon. Well, guess what?? It WASN'T my transmission after all and after two days they repaired my car, which now sounds like a new vehicle. I was very happy about my decision to give this job to a local small business, rather than unprofessional people who hide behind the big advertisements of a national chain.

When my 2000 Honda Insight started making some frightful noises, our (very trustworthy) mobile mechanic diagnosed a transmission problem. He recommended we go to Metro Transmission since the repair was beyond his scope of practice. Now I can see why... The first generation Honda Insight is notoriously hard to find parts for (not to mention the fact that when you DO find 'em, they cost a fortune) but Eric and the gang had no trouble with parts procurement or time-lines. About a month after picking up the car, some grinding of the gears appeared when downshifting from 3rd to 2nd. Metro Transmission didn't hesitate to stand by their work. They fixed the problem, at no charge, and my clutch/transmission has never been better. Years ago, my brother in law wasted over $4000.00 on a replacement transmission at a well-known transmission repair chain, only to have one problem after another. The car NEVER worked properly. I'm 100% certain that could not happen at Metro. They stand behind their work, and Brenda & Eric are consummate professionals. I would recommend them for service on ANY car.

If you've been told that Metro Transmission is THE place to take your vehicle, and now you're online to see if the claims are true--look no further. Metro is a rare gem of an auto shop that gives you great service without making you feel like you are being taken for a ride (pardon the pun). When I felt my transmission start to slip, I asked around for a good transmission shop, I went to a place that was recommended by a friend and the only option they gave me was to replace the transmission for $3,500 (out the door). When I told some friends of mine, one of them practically demanded that I take my car to Metro for a second opinion. Eric at Metro assured me that they would do a thorough job analyzing the situation and that they would not suggest replacing the transmission unless it was absolutely necessary. Come to find out, the issue was with a single part, the Pressure Control solenoid. They replaced the part, took care of a mount issue, and cleaned and serviced my transmission for a much more reasonable $1,495. They saved my $2,000 and proved to me they understand customer service. I will not hesitate to take my vehicles there (first thing) in the future. Believe the hype and let Metro take care of you.

Thank you for taking the time to share your opinion and experience at Metro Transmission. Our goal has always been to achieve 100% satisfaction with all of our customers. We look forward to servicing your vehicles in the future.
I took my 56 Chevy to Metro after two years of following the advice of numerous backyard mechanics and car show hotrod experts that didn't solve the problem. Mike brought a fresh view to the entire system instead of focusing on just the individual elements of clutch and transmission in isolation. He rebuilt the entire clutch linkage assembly which had fatigued over the course of 50+ years. Problem solved. Mike shared his thought process with me throughout and Erik kept me diligently informed. These guys are honest pros and I recommend them highly.

We have been dealing with Metro Transmission for over 10 years and have found them to be very honest and trustworthy. They understand customer service. Their staff are friendly and courteous. Their business practices are founded on honesty and integrity. We have taken ALL of our cars (three cars) to Metro for routine transmission maintenance and replacements. They have replaced 2 transmissions on 2 of our older cars. If they say something is broken you can be sure it is. It will be fixed at a reasonable and fair price.

I had my transmission on my 1990 Toyota Landcruiser completely rebuilt by Metro. It performed flawlessly until the 23rd month of my 2 year unlimited warranty when I noticed a vibration. Metro diagnosed a faulty torque converter and replaced it quite quickly and at absolutely no expense to me. I am very impressed with Metro Transmission and would not hesitate to refer anyone to them!
