Called Mezzacappa to lay a 18x37 patio in my backyard. By far one of the most honest, professional contractors I have ever worked with. The only contractor who provided references of previous work performed throughout Staten Island. The estimate was second to none for the work performed. The crew was professional and did a teriffic job.Job started at 8am and completed by 2pm. As opposed to the other review we had a completely opposite great expierience with Mezzacappa. Would definitely hire again for future work.

    Mezzacappa or Mess o Crappa

Mezzacappa? More like "Mess o CRAPPA" My neighbor decided to have concrete work done on her property. Tony Mezzacrappa assured her he would use a saw on her side of MY fence to dig up her asphalt so that my property wouldn't be damaged. He lied. Mr. Mezzacrappa's men used a jackhammer at 7am, not only rudely awakening the whole neighborhood, but taking out chunks of my driveway. Later, Mr. Mezzacrappa promised to fix my driveway to my liking. He left loosely filled asphalt and cracks that should have been tightly filled, but were not, and he had the nerve to say my driveway had no survey lines and might not be my property. He has not yet contacted me about making the repairs, and I don't expect to hear from him. His workers left the remains of their lunch scattered around the neighborhood, and wet cement still stains the gutters of Dickie Avenue because they refused to hose it down. Homeowners, watch out if your neighbor hires Tony Mezzacappa. He'll walk away and leave cracked driveways and other CRAP behind, and question your homeownership to avoid repairing the damage.
