Michael of Michael Burton Colors has colored my hair for over 20 years and I wouldn't go anywhere else. I know many of Michael's clients return to Atlanta after moving across the country just to have him color their hair. Michael has achieved top awards in his field and knows what will work for each hair type. No brassy blondes or purple reds. The salon is right around the corner from the Atlanta Fish Market. There's no sign out front; just look for the white cottage with the red front door.

I have not idea what FreshJive is talking about either. Michael Burton Colors is a great place to go to get color... You get what you want and if you don't know he create vision and works his magic. Everyone is very nice and very professional. His shop is decorated the way he wants!!! The catty comment about he didnt spend alot of money is not necessary. If you are going to a salon for the way it looks and not the service you get then you must have judged your experience before you even received the service. Bottom line... the salon is nice, the service is great and my hair looked fabulous when I left!

I don't know what FreshJive is talking about! Michael Burton Colors is a wonderful salon staffed by the most knowledgeable hair colorists and stylists in town. It's honestly the best salon to which I've ever been. It is a high end salon that understands its clientele and their lifestyles and beauty needs. There is no rushed service and they cater to me every time I'm there. Several of my friends go there too and we all agree - Michael Burton Colors is fantastic.

My experience with Michael was dissatisfying. I went to Michael for high and low lights. but instead Michael took it upon himself to change my natural/medium blonde hair to a murky shade of brown. It was so awful, it looked like he'd applied all over color to my head. I swear he must of foiled every piece of hair on my head! He must have as it took him 3.5 hours to do my hair. The shade of blonde he used was so blonde, it appeared white (obvious he used bleach), and the brown was a funky dishwater brown. Apparently this is Michael's modus operandi! A previous one time "blonde client" of his told me he did the exact same thing to her. Blondes beware!! Michael's clientele is predominantly short haired elderly woman. Needless to say, I was the youngest client there at 34 years of age. The salon itself is not impressive. Located inside a small house, each room is filled with hodge podgy items... anything from old wicker patio furniture, to cheesy garage sale art. It's obvious Michael doesn't spend money on his establishment, but on himself.

Friendly, Professional, bend over backward Service. This place is amazing. Housed in an older atlanta Home, you will feel nothing but comfort during your visit. The shampoo girls give great massages, and there are always fresh baked goods brought in by another client, or for a staff members birthday. One Vist here, and you become a part of the family. Oh yeah, did i mention that they have won awards for thier color! Michael and Kelly are both cutting edge. And Buzz will know exactly what you are looking for, when you want something a little more classic. For try them First!
