I was pleased with Michigan Granite Designs, Inc. and highly recommend them. I visited five granite companies before deciding on this company. Their price was not the highest or lowest. For the same quality granite that I saw at the other places; I felt their price was reasonable and fair. They were professional, customer focused, knowledgeable, experienced, timely and efficient; they were also open and friendly. Abe manages the front desk and was helpful and pleasant. Unlike reviewer 01, my experience with Moe was pleasant. When he came to my home to measure he showed me where he would put the seam in the counter top and explained why. He measured my bathrooms while there because I told him I was considering updating them also. Since I opted to do my own tear out, he gave me tips on doing it properly so I wouldn't damage the mirrors over the back splash. Just before my scheduled install date I picked a remnant to have a patio table top made. Abe asked me to come in and pick again because the first choice was defective, I liked my selection and wanted Moe to work around the defect but he said no, he would not make the table knowing it would not hold up. The table was made using better quality granite but at the lower cost originally quoted. Michigan Granite Design is awesome. They did a quality job on my kitchen/bath counters and my patio table top. I'm a SATISFIED customer.

After picking the stone that we wanted we dealt with Abe who was very nice and somewhat prompt. He wrote up the paper work for me to sign and I signed it without reading the bottom because he stated it was only for the price we discussed. Yes, this was my fault for not reading it and I did not notice until the next day that it actually read that "The above product was received or installed in good condition". Because we did not give a deposit yet and they were still going to come out and measure I assumed we can just let them know we wanted new paperwork because we were going to give them a deposit when they came out to measure anyways. Or so I thought. On the day they called to come out and measure my wife spoke to Mo the owner to see if we can get the warranty in writing and new paperwork stating we gave them a deposit and that we would sign off when the work was completed. To our disbelief he said they would not give anything in writing for the warranty details and that they would not change the paperwork that I signed. I then decided to call and speak to Abe and he understood why we wanted new paperwork but because Mo was standing next to him, Abe advised me that Mo did not want the job anymore. Not really sure why it was such a big ordeal to get a different piece of paper unless there is shady business practices going on. So to anyone thinking about getting granite from th
