I took my Electrolux vacuum in for fixing. The repair guy seemed knowledgeable and he said he'd call me once he knew what was wrong. He never called. I called him and asked for the status. He said it was the switch and he had one in the shop but needed to find it. This went on for 3 months. I even stopped in 4 times and got the same routine. He hadn't found the switch yet or it wasn't the right switch. After many times, I said I wanted my vacuum back and he said he had to find the handle so I'd have to come back. I said okay when. We agreed upon a time and I came back. Next he found 1 part of the handle but not the rest. The cord was missing also. He said he didn't have time to work on my machine and I said don't worry about fixing it, I just want my machine and parts back. He basically said no not now. I sent my 92 yr old friend in since he lives close and he got the same routine. The switch just came in and I'll fix it. He'd call my friend when it was done. My friend went back because he didn't call back as he said he would, and he had not done anything with it and again said we'd have to come back. He got aggressive and called my 92 yr old friend an A--hole. He certainly didn't deserve that. I'm not sure what to do at this time since all I want is my vacuum back. At this point, he chases me out of the shop and I can't get it back. I'm going to have to take legal action at this point. Worst experience I've ever had with any shop/vendor.

I recently purchased a vac from Midway Vac & Sew after my brother recommended them. The salesman (owner) was very knowledgeable and helpful. I feel confident that I got a decent price for a good machine. I would recommend this store to my friends.

An extremely honest, cost effective, and technically proficient vacuum and sewing machine sales and repair store. These folks know their craft. They guarantee their work and they will inform the customer of all the pros and cons of the various machines available in a given price-range; moreover, they will let you know if your broken machine is worth repairing--and are on the up and up concerning it. Again, they are extremely honest. I have dealt with them for at least five years, and have not regretted it once
