I had a positive experience with Mister Sparky eight years ago. Based on that, I called this location. I wish I had looked at some online reviews first! When the technician arrived I explained my concerns. After his initial assessment that I needed a complete panel replacement, he proceeded to tell me of other things that were required if I replaced the panel. He kept throwing in "code" and "inspector", emphasizing that the panel replacement was necessary and could not be done without all the other jobs. By the time he was done, he was quoting a job that would cost almost $14000. I paid him for a service call and told him I would think his estimate over. Then I checked online reviews! The next day I called this Mister Sparky location and got a young lady in a call center in the mid-west. I gave her the job number and told her that the job was never going to happen and asked her to make sure the folks on Canton Rd. in Marietta got the message. A couple of hours later, the technician called and left a message that he had talked to an "inspector", and we could do just the panel replacement. Wait, what? No longer all those other jobs that are required?? I called another electrician, got the issue diagnosed and fixed for under $2000.Needless to say, my 2016 experience with Mister Sparky was not at all like my 2008 experience. I cannot recommend them to anyone. They are full of malarkey, no matter what the jingle says.

Didn't fix the problem, didn't know how. Charged me $60 to show up at the house, and said it would cost me hundreds more for him to go through my wiring. Turns out it was a tripped breaker and the COMPETENT guy just flicked it and restored my power. Still had a bill to pay - tried calling their billing. No answer. No answer ever. That phone number? It's to a call center hundreds of miles away. You can't get a human being to phone you, to answer you, to care. I'm sure I'll be in collections and have my credit wrecked because they couldn't CARE enough to answer their own phone or respond to customers. Thanks for literally less than nothing.

I didn't have a positive experience with Mr. Sparky. Before posting this response I left two unanswered phone calls and two emails over three days. I needed to swap the ceiling light over my entry stairs in a two story foyer. Over the phone Mr. Sparky told me they "would do it for $125," however the job came out at $398 (after applying a $25 coupon). Almost $400 to swap a light and I was dumb enough to pay it. Prior to the light swap I also asked for an estimate to install a power outlet for an instant hot water tap in my kitchen. The electrician insisted I needed a dedicated circuit run to the breaker box and priced this out at $1,197 for a 30A 240V circuit, including a bad case scenario for cutting through drywall and possibly floor joists. I didn't think I needed a 30A 240V circuit (although the electrician said he'd not seen 120V hot water units) so he also supplied a $945 estimate for a 120V dedicated circuit. Considering both Insinkerator and Waste King build 6.5A 120V units, and I have two available 20A 120V circuits in my kitchen, neither estimate will be used and I'll be finding another electrician.

My Technician Chris was nice enough but I was charged over $300 for him to tell me an outlet had tripped. Gee. I guess if I hadn't told him I was unemployed for over a year it wouldn't hurt so bad. By the way my dog and daughter were super impressed. CJ 30319

I could not be more pleased of the expert service received from Mr. Sparky's Representative Travis Webb. While I do belived a bit pricy, most dependable and expertise is unquestionable. Thanks Travis for a superb job that you started and completed in a most professional manner.

Excellent response to our last-minute need. Great job by Scott B. who repaired our m/b ceiling fan, some outlet problems and upgraded our home protection with whole-house surge protector. Quality work at a resonable price and Scott overcame all our challenges. FYI - ask Scott about the 15' high ceiling fan that was secured only with the wiring and some flimsy plastic. Mr. Sparky is our choice for everything electrical and we'll ask for Scott (if he's not promoted to President by then.)

Our technician, Danny N., was quick to evaluate the electrical shortcomings in our home. He then took the time to explain them "in layman's terms" and patiently answered any questions we had. We were able to take advantage of a free home electrical inspection which Mr. Sparky was offering at the time of Danny N.'s visit. He did not "pressure sale" us once the inspection was completed. Danny N. was very thorough, punctual, knowledgeable, and personable. AND, HE WORE SHOE COVERS ONCE INSIDE OUR HOUSE! We will certainly ask for Danny N. to correct our electrical faults. Mr. Sparky also made a courtesy alert call 30-45 minutes prior to the technician's arrival. Thanks, Danny N. and Mr. Sparky!

The technician that came was very professional and explained everything and performed the work with a high degree of knowledge. The areas of work were protected from trash and left in an orderly manner. I would call them again if a need arises.

Scott and Troy did a whole house outlet/switch replacement. They took their time, explained all they did, were very professional and courteous and mindful of our possessions as they worked. Mr. Sparky called to alert us of arrival time. We will recommend both Scott and Mr. Sparky to our friends.
