Moncrief serviced our A/C but didn't indicate that the system needed to be replaced because of a leak. Had to come out again 3 weeks later and they were able to measure the leak with a meter and say that it needed to be replaced. Charged us $225 for freon the second time out. Called and spoke to a manager to remove this charge because they should have told us the first time out that the system needed to be replaced. They would take the charge off only if we bought a new system with them.

In this case, we were called and came out to look at some cooling issues. On the initial visit we found the evaporator coil leaking and notated such on the invoice. According to the customer our technician did not clearly communicate the problem and the recommendation to him. We have spoken to the customer and apologized for any mistakes or dropped balls on our end. We of course will always be here ready to make right on a second chance, should the customer give us that opportunity. If not we wish him the best.
Came out and checked the freon level, and filters, and "washed" the condensors by spraying them with my hose. Said nothing was wrong with my A/C yet charged me $240 for their 20 minutes of being there. Never again!

We were called to the home to address a "no cool" complaint. Upon arrival we found the system cooling to the desired temperature set at the thermostat (74 degrees with an outdoor temperature of 93). The NATE certified technician is a senior service technician with 30 years experience with Moncrief and determined the best course of action to improve cooling would be to clean the AC. At this time of year most outdoor condensers have been running non-stop and we frequently make service calls to homes where everything was working as well as it could mechanically. Restrictions in air flow over the coils can decrease a system's cooling capacity. (think water through a kinked hose) So in this case changing a filter and cleaning the condenser to maximize airflow were the only actions we could take to help improve your cooling. We feel that we did what was best for your system and charged a fair amount. We did not try and sell parts you didn't need or add some arbitrary amount of refrigerant. We also replaced a motor free of charge in 2010 as it was under Moncrief's warranty. We do not get anything back from the motor manufacturer for the labor to diagnose and repair. I would hardly call these the actions of a rip-off company. We feel our rates are fair for the expertise and service we provide. If you do not see the value then we have fallen short and apologize. We will waive whatever amount of this invoice to your satisfaction and agree to go separate ways. We wish this customer the best.
Joe did a great job diagnosing my issues quickly, was on-time, honest, and clearly knowledgable. He explained the problem and solutions clearly, without trying to guide me to the most expensive option. Very fair price as well. Would definitely use again!

Thanks for the review! We pay our Service Technicians hourly (a rarity in our field) so that there will never be incentive to charge our customers for an unnecessary repair. (Sidenote: Joe is a great tech and just an all-around an incredible human being as well!) We appreciate your business!
We finished our basement and hired Moncrief. While not the cheapest, boy did they get the job done and get it done well. They showed up on time everyday, kept us informed of their progress, took our feedback (of where to put some ducts), and stuck to the price they bid. We will forever have Moncrief service our units. Thank you, Moncrief!

I've had an annual service contract with Moncrief for almost 20 years and they truly have the best customer service in town! I could not light the pilot light on my gas logs today and they were out here within a couple of hours to fix for me. But their annual service contract is the best deal around. They are a great group of professionals from the technicians to the receptionists.

Very happy with the service done on my AC unit. The technician was knowledgeable, friendly, and on time. I will be using Moncrief going forward!

Moncrief installed new HVAC system in my townhome. Climate is now very comfortable. Has saved on my utility bills also. Guys very professional. They also did a very good clean-up job when done. Highly recommend them.

Heater went out and was only blowing warm air. Called Moncrief and got stellar service from the initial call all the way through the diagnoses and service. Bobby (Moncrief's service tech) showed up on time, identified several problems with the wiring and the unit, clearly explained them to me and ONLY after I agreed with the solution did he efficiently perform his job. Bobby & Moncrief, thank you! I'll use you for all my HVAC needs going forward.

I needed a HVAC contractor and after reading the 5 star reviews, picked Moncrief for the 1/2 price service coupon. The Tech, Roy was prompt, friendly & efficient. He suggested a solution to the problem, fabricated the duct work & installed it that morning. Very happy with the whole experience. I will use this company again.

Very honest and good service! Had a problem about pricing and was resolved. My service guy did a great job and explained the misunderstanding with the quote giving to me on the phone.

Here at Moncrief our techs are not paid to "upsell" our customers. You can feel good knowing that when one of our techs arrives at your home, they will diagnose the issue, carefully explain it to you, offer up a solution, fix it if that's what you would like and then move on to their next call. We came home from vacation to a warmer-than-normal downstairs (with 95 degrees outside) and called Moncrief this morning. They were out in what seemed minutes and fixed the problem for a reasonable amount (without recommending a brand new a/c system!) They're always johnny-on-the-spot with friendly, reliable service.

I called Moncrief yesterday morning when my heat when out and by 1 pm Mubarak was at my door. The part he needed to repair my heater was located in Atlant at the warehouse. He was kind enough to drive all the way from Cumming to Atlanta and back to get my heater up and running. He has an amazing attitude and I was able to sleep in my home last night nice and cozy after installing the new part. A true professional. I would use this company again and ask for Mubarak!

I have used Moncreif Heating and Air at both my home and business for several years now and have always had great service from them. The techs are on time, polite, well trained, fast and dependable. They have saved me a couple of times from unexpected outages and I really appreciate their quick response time. They really are a great organization and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I called Moncrief when our heat pump/AC went out. They responded in less than 8 hours. Initially, I was concerned about their price structure - fee for the visit and then a charge for every 15 minutes. No worries there. Completely professional and ethical. Their tech Loc was on the problem and fixed it in less than 45 minutes. Entire trip cost me about $150 less than others quotes I had from the smaller guys. Overall very positive experience.
