I have dealt with countless HVAC contractors over the years, and I have come to the conclusion that the vast majority do not understand many of the basic yet essential steps to installing my air conditioner properly. Unfortunately, I was letting the low price offered by many of these contractors dictate my decision. The Morris Jenkins tech that was sent to my house, Jason I believe, provided a thorough explanation of everything that he believed was done improperly. More importantly, he told me what he was going to do about it. Jason didn't hesitate to call his foreman by the name of Scott who volunteered to come out and take a look and provide a second opinion. Initially I had concerns because what he was telling me did not align with what other contractors had told me (I had a unique situation which would take some time to explain here, but I'll let you know it had to do with an air handler in an attic crawlspace). Over the course of my experience, I was impressed with how Hoffmann Brothers took the time and brought in additional people to provide more insight into my unique problem until a solution was reached. My neighbor and longtime friend down the street had a similar experience and was the one who referred me to Morris Jenkins when I voiced my troubles regarding my attic. He would tell you the same thing, Morris Jenkins knows this business better than most and has some really helpful techs who, in my case, were willing to go above and beyond the call.

Our heat went out the first day we turned the unit on this year so we decided to call MJ because we have heard of them before. They had a service guy out there the day we called and in only a couple of hours, which was nice. The service guy was very friendly and seemed pretty knowledgeable he said i needed a new ignitor, 300$. I saw them on the internet for 20$ but i said whatever i just want some heat. When he left the heat was on. When the house temp hit the temperature set the furnace went out again and would just circulate air from the house around. The tech didnt fix anything and we were stuck with a worthless 300$ ignitor, so we knew it was probably time for a new furnace (it was 16 years old). So MJ's salesman came out and took out his book of prices and originally without any "specials" it was going to be about 6,100$ for the furnace and 10,000$ for a new air conditioner/heat pump. I didnt know what to say. I was expecting around 8K not 16K. So after all the specials the price was down to 10K. I thought it was still expensive so i tried Adams. Adams quoted me 7K out the gate and was planning on doing more for us. We fought for a week with MJ to get their price down and we got it down to about 8k, at that point my wife and i didnt trust them anymore and decided against MJ. While they have great products and great service techs, their prices are ridiculous. Dont let the free IPAD 2 persuade you into getting their systems. Rip OFF!

After dealing with the "Mickey mouse" company that a worthless home warranty kept sending to my home, I found these guys thru a neighbors recommendation. Wow! Completely prompt and professional. Fixed my unit the first time and even found and fixed a problem with my water heater for free! Worth the call!!

We have used Morris Jenkins since we moved to NC, 16 years ago. They are responsive, courteous and best of all when you call you get a real live person. They have come to our home as late as midnight to make sure we had cool air. They are honest and don't push unecessary parts or repairs. We think they are the best.

This was a very good experience. From the sales process through to the completed installation. Only one negative, damage was done to my hardwood floors for which I did not see until after the process. But overall, it has been great doing business with Morris Jenkins.

Been with them about 7 years, Had new system install last year. They give the best service and there service teams are GREAT. No need to worry about when it is time to have a service, they will call to remind you and set up a time when you want it.

Having had Morris - Jenkins for the last 4 years after the complete overhaul, replacement and installation of two new air & heating systems, when an issue came up related to the original installation, this firm went over and beyond to fix our system and to get it operating to the efficiency standards we were expoecting. The commitment starts with the owner but the entire family of employees is what makes this firm the best in Charlotte.
The TV ads are cute, and they do not overstate the service provided by Morris Jenkins. We bought a new HVAC unit this summer, and it is performing just as promised when we talked with the salesman. We actually HAVE seen a reduction in the power bill. Morris Jenkins also sends out technicians to change the filter and check the performance, per their service contract - a wonderful bargain for the money. S. Jean Brown, satisfied customer
