Mr. Natural serves great, flavorful vegetarian food. You can order off the menu, or get their cafeteria-style lunch or dinner special consisting of salad, 2 sides, and 1 main course, of your choosing. It's a lot of food! Last time I went, the main course selections were: soy guisada (like carne guisada, but made with chunks of TVP instead of meat), roasted vegetable medley, tamales, or pizza. They're also open for breakfast to offer tacos, smoothies, juices, etc. There is also a full bakery counter with all kinds of amazing vegan treats and desserts, and a small grocery section where you can buy natural breads, drinks, and more. Service is fast, but don't expect to be waited on hand and foot. You're expected to bus your own table. The décor is minimal but clean, and you will probably notice how quiet this restaurant is. This may be off-putting if you are used to places that crank in loud pop music while you're eating. I find it relaxing. I recommend the tofu and sunflower seed filled tamales, or the veggie enchiladas covered in rich mole sauce. And for your drink, a nice creamy horchata (sweetened rice milk with cinnamon).

This is THE place to go if you're on a restricted diet. Whether you can't have meat, gluten, dairy or eggs...there will be a tasty selection of foods. Fair warning though, you'll probably want to go home and figure out how to make the dishes yourself!
