The dentist, Dr. Noorda, is a very friendly dentist who really knows his stuff. His walls are full of degrees and I asked him what education he has continued with and he named some pretty impressive stuff, including dental implants and IV sedation and the like. It sounds like he is on the cutting edge of dentistry. I went in for an exam because my insurance pays 100% (I know this for a fact), yet Pat at the desk told me my "guestimated" amount due today was ___(under $10) and would I be paying that cash or charge. I was somewhat offended at that when I explained to her that I knew my insurance would pay 100% and she said that it was simply a "guestimate" and that if the insurance did pay, the office would reimburse me. I felt like saying something like "why don't you just wait and see, then" but I did not, I just paid. I received a notice from my insurance yesterday that they paid 100% so I am eagerly awaiting my "guestimated" reimbursement.
