I have been using North Atlanta Primary Care for about 4 years now. I can always get in same day, or the following day for a sick visit. Dr. Deavens has recently joined the practice and I can't say enough good things about him. He took his time and really listened to me. He sent my prescriptions to my pharmacy while I was still in the office. He also got my referral to a specialist over to that office the same day, and I was seen by the specialist the next day. Overall, I think this is a great practice.

When I made my son's appointment I mentioned that I needed a sport physical for school sports, I again mentioned this at the time of the appointment and also asked for a school excuse. Dr Celestine and his nurse were great, the front desk is a joke. I don't know if they're poorly trained or incompetent. I had to go back to the office for the school excuse and after 3 phone calls and 4 trips to this office I have given up on them filling out a basic school form. I have wasted 3 days trying to get this done. The front desk could care less that my time has been wasted. They were inefficient and uncaring.

This company upcodes. Meaning it charges you for services it should not! I have reported them to the insurance company, the national insurance fraud and the State insurance fraud entities. I went for 100% covered physical and got charged an office visit after being asked if I had any concerns and I foolishly informed the doctor that I had an issue. This automatically turns your 100% covered physical into an office visit and you are to pay for it! YES! First time this has ever happened to me at any doctors office. I go for my physicals with all my doctors and when asked if I have any additional concerns, they treat me or take action and do not additionally bill me. I wouldn't mind I had visited the clinic a month prior for this issue and it was dismissed as being part of a spine issue?!?! I also told them that I did not want certain tests run and took the additional step of scribbling out these tests on the paperwork and initialing them and yet they still did the tests and charged myself and the insurance for them. And they also charged my husband for tests he didnt even receive?!?! I ask, do you check your medical bills very close. I have had to learn and I know this is upcoding and they have been reported to all the agencies concerned. If you use them, PLEASE check your statement. Please be warned against these!!!

I have been a patient at this practice for a few years - (they used to be North Fulton Family Medicine) simply because it seemed easier to deal with the bad customer service, long waits & condescending PA's - than find another provider for the 1 or 2 times a year I had to go.... However, over the past year I've had to deal with several tests, CT's, MRI's & surgery, and the incompetence, insensitivity & horrible customer service became way too much to handle. No promised phone calls re: CT or blood results - having to call several times before receiving any test results. At such a critical time, they are incredibly unkind. I can't help but wonder if they changed the practice name from NFFM (north Fulton family medicine) to NAPC to escape all the poor reviews already posted re: this practice. My advice - go somewhere else, anywhere else.

Dr. Bat is running an affiant practice with friendly staff and flexible hours. I have been a long time patient of Dr. Bats and highly recommend him and his strong staff of physicians and PA's. North Atlanta Primary Care has always been kind and efficient.

All week I have been fighting off something but just didn't seem to go away. I cannot take off work during the week and their business hours are the same as mine. My daughter brought to my attention that NAPC has walk-in hours on Saturaday mornings(Alpharaetta location only). I was taken back in a timely manner and seen by both a nurse and the doctor. A presciption was sent to my pharmacy and off I went. It is now less than a week later and I feel 100 percent better! Thank you to the staff, nurses and doctors at NAPC for taking time out of their weekend and allowing people like me with busy schedules during the week to be seen. Ya'll Rock!

I am new to the area and found NAPC online. After reading the providers bio's it was hard for me to choose becuase they all have excellent credentials and we share common health values and concerns. They were able to get me in as a new patient the same week. From the scheduleing to the front desk everyone was polite and very knowledgeable and considerate. My provider was very thorough and listened when I spoke. The online portal is awesome! I am able to review my results at my convenience and send messages directly to my doctor or his nurse. I'v never seen anything like it. I have full confidence my health care is in the right hands.

Perhaps like many, I have been exposed to several practices and physicians over the years; hence my ability to provide a valid comparison. I will have to say that the level of care and concern by my physician, Dr. Tama Lynn Syrop is exemplary and unrivaled. Her knowledge index regarding the practice of medicine is extensive, comprehensive and current. She expends as much time as needed with each patient; never rushed. Her level of concern extends beyond the office doors, for she has called me at home on several occasions regarding medical issues. The wait time is extremely minimal; the office staff I have found friendly and courteous. When searching for medical care, North Atlanta Primary Care should rank as a primary choice for your consideration.

Do not use this practice! Uncaring, unreliable, long wait times, do not follow up or do thourgh exams. I have ended up in the hospital twice due to lack of follow up. One because they promised to call in my blood pressure perscription and didn't after repeated calls and two with pnuemonia. I had an oxygen level of 92 and had to beg them for an xray because I felt it was something more than bronchitis. I was then sent home instead of the hosptial only to be admitted later than day. I've had doctors be rude, short and tell me they don't have the time. NEVER AGAIN!!!

1. Left 2 voicemails and had to call another department to get someone on the phone. 2. Even after my pharmacy sent a request, the doctor called the WRONG Rx into the WRONG CVS an entire state away. 3. Overall took three days to get this all settled.

I recently had an appointment for my annual physical checkup and was disappointing in their procedure. The Doctors and Nurses treat the patients as touch me not plants. The doctors and Nurses Shy away than the patients. Here are the things that went wrong 1) They asked me to fast for the appointment and gave me an appointment for 11:00 AM. They took an hour to call me in. 2)When finally my time arrived, i was just rushed through did not feel like a annual physical exam. They took my blood, BP, Temprature pulse and that it. 3)The doctor walked in asked if i have any problems and left. 4) They did not even exam fully. With my previous provider it was detailed, the doctor examined my body for moles, i had a testicular exam and many other things. They just want to move patients to move to the next one than attending to the quality of the treatment.

This practice was great back in the late 1990's, but as it grew it lost its caring professional attitude. After tiring of condescending office staff and long waits for a rushed visit, I quit the practice. Today I received a letter demanding payment for a pastdue bill for $203 from October 2009! No statement has been sent in 2 1/2 years! This makes me remember why I quit this practice.

An old review (when they were named North Fulton Family Medicine) compared this medical practice to a federal government agency...but even the IRS is more sympathetic, caring, and communicative than the staff of NAPC. It's hard to get through to an actual person (by phone, email, or using their horrible web application) and when you finally do reach one of their obviously unhappy staff members, you're sorry you did. Some specific examples of their "care": - They submitted incorrect procedure codes to my insurance company, and refused to correct them despite the obvious facts. (Have you seen the movie "Idiocracy"?) - Without first discussing lab results with me, they phoned a prescription for cholesterol medication to my pharmacy. - When an NAPC nurse(?) finally deigned to talk with me about the prescription, she told me it would be "impossible" to lower my cholesterol to an acceptable level without statin drugs. - I ignored their dire warning and successfully lowered my cholesterol level to my target level (170 total) through diet changes alone. Based on my experience, NAPC is time-wasting, exasperating, and dangerous to your health.

I had a physical done here after noticing some serious symptons similar to that of a panic attack. I called 4 times over the course of the next week to follow up and ask some additional questions but never got a return call after leaving messages. The only real person you can reach on the phone is the appointment person and they said that they'd get my msg to the doctor/nurse but I still never got a call back. It's been going on 2 weeks and I still haven't gotten a call back. Even if they don't have the test results, I'd like to at least get a call back so I can ask some further questions. You'd also think it would be standard for the doctor to call and check to see how the patient was feeling anyway. DON'T GO HERE! THEY DON'T CARE!!!

Although this practice can have you see a doctor very quick, they are AWFUL at following back up with patient voicemails and prescription refill requests. This is not just a one time experience. I am still waiting for a nurse or doctor to call me back from a voicemail AND email message I left last Friday at 9:00 am. The policy is a 24 hour turn around. I did not hear back Friday and when I called they told me 24 hours meant Monday. Well, I still did not receive a call and it's been over 4 days! My bronchitis did not go away with the first zpac and I had to go spend more money at an Urgent care this weekend, so I wouldnt continue to get worse. I would not make this practice your family doctor! You need a practice that cares enough about their patients to follow up in the time guidelines they have set.
