People who may have written kind words were probably friends of the garage owner and the manager. I had taken my car was fixing some issue - and was promised a 10% discount on the estimate that they gave - feeling good that they were nice enough to give me discount - i went forth with the repair - only to find that they will not honor the it. pleas stay away

Do not use North Point Sunoco for your repairs or service needs. Last December I brought my Pontiac Grand Am to North Point Sunoco for a safety inspection and emissions test. The vehicle failed the safety test. I was told by the sales manager that my car was a "safety hazard" and if I did not do the repairs immediately that I was likely to be spotted by a police officer and given a ticket that costs more than $1000. I believe that this is deception, if not potentially outright fraud. Feeling nervous and threatened, I consented to the repairs, which cost almost $1500. The sales manager didn't tell me that I had 15 days plus the day of inspection to make necessary repairs to my vehicle. He said that "some people have wanted to wait a day or two before making repairs but then they got caught by the cops and had to pay the fine." Later that day, after the repairs were done, I learned from the Virginia State Police that I had 15 days plus the day of inspection to make necessary repairs to my vehicle. After consulting with the state police, I was told the reasons my vehicle failed didn't constitute an emergency. I wouldn't have been ticketed. If I had known that I had 15 days to drive my car with a rejection sticker, there is no way I would have consented to the very first offer of service I received, at a high price to begin with. I believe that North Point Sunoco practiced deception and it's my recommendation that you find another place for service.

First My Car: During a safety inspection they said I needed a new tie rod, which I paid for. I specifically asked for the old one back, which they never gave me. This is illegal and not calling the out was a big mistake on my part. Then My Wife's Car: During a safety inspection they said I needed lots of lights and a power steering pump. I told them I didn't want them to do any repairs, so they charged me $130 for 'changed light bulbs,' for which I did not pay. I then took her car to our regular mechanic who said there was nothing wrong with the power steering pump. They're crooks, and to be avoided.

These guys are master of switch and bait. They have advertised a coupon for $59.95 for alignment. I took my car to them and showed my coupon. They took my car and the guy told me that the car could not be aligned as there is some thing wrong with tie rod ends. The estimated cost was around $300. Mind you I had my car safety inspected just a month ago and the safety inspector did not flag this. I took my car to another shop and they did not find any thing wrong with the tie rod ends and did alignment on my car. I am amazed at this blatant breach of trust. I will not go to them for even oil change as who knows what they can do to my car to make more money rather than providing an honest service and keeping their promise.
